shield for my laptop computer screen

I don't believe screens can help that much on a laptop. However, here are some

computer strategies I use:

1. Electric - Replace unshielded power cables with shielded cables, where

possible. (Desktop and monitor, not supported for laptops)

2. Digital harmonics - If it's a laptop, run off of battery & unplug the charger

which can help reduce this. Achievable distances from the head: ~3 feet from

monitor, 6 feet from computer, 2 feet from keyboard/mouse. More distance is

possible with USB extension cable and longer power cables. However, if the

laptop is plugged into power, those frequencies from the charger may get carried

along the wires to your keyboard/mouse. So unplugging may be a good idea but

requires longer battery life.

3. Magnetic - LCD monitor is typically lower in magnetic field than Big CRT's.

However, it still has some digital harmonics. Keep a distance.

4. Wireless - Disable the wireless connection from the Control Panel. Use

keyboard and mouse on USB cable rather than wireless ones.

When not in use, unplug all electronics from the source, or turn off the power

strip feeding them.
