Guest guest
Just a precaution about baking soda. I had 's disease, not knowing I had it and I took baking soda and I almost had a heart attack. My potassium got so far off that I almost died on the spot. The Doctor told me to never take baking soda again that it throws all your important factors off. Sodium and Potassium levels. I would say to take the Sea salt is a good to take and stay on. > > Hi folks: > > I seem to have missed the response as to how much baking soda to take > daily internally. My wife and I haven't had any problems taking it. If you take too much, like I did at first to get rid of a non-urination problem, you can get diarrhea. I use it regularly now to prevent any bladder infections. It is excellent for ridding the body of candida albicans (ie, cancer)in the digestive tract. To rid the body of a malignancy in a specific location, say the breasts, a catheter is required to administer the sodium bicarbonate as it must come into direct contact with the fungi, according to Dr. Simoncini.>> Hi folks:> > I seem to have missed the response as to how much baking soda to take> daily internally. Guest guest
I just bought yesterday 6 big jugs of the Ozarka reverse osmosis processed drinking water with calcium, magnesium and baking soda added to it. After seeing this thread, i put those jugs aside. I would have loved to continue taking it so that i could be more alkaline, but since it would throw off vitamins and minerals, i decided to be on the safe side. Thanks for all those warnings. Guest guest
Don't toss the jugs too quickly. The thing that I have noticed in all of my research online and talking to people who have tried all the things that I have researched, is that it appears that everything in moderation is best. If we didn't take anything that had some kind of affect on something else we wouldn't take anything. After having cancer and a heart attack (not in that order) I am determined to not go through either again. I believe a little oxygenation, alkalination, exercise, plenty of green food and only meats that are alkaline or closer to alkaline that the others but all in moderation is the way too go. I took lipitor for years until my bones and joints feel like they are going to explode. Study the side effects of statins and you won't take a single one. Ask a dr. and he or she will tell you there is there is nothing wrong with statins. We have been taking prescription meds for years causing tons of problems to our system. If all you have to do is take twice as much mag and calcium in order to take your jugs of Ozarka water ino order to become alkaline then maybe it's not so bad. Some say baking soda is the way to go. Some say Alkaseltzer Gold is the way to go. I found if I take to much of either they mess with my blood pressure. So I do a little and not on the same day. I don't think any of us know how much is too much but then neither do my Doctors with their prescript writing mania. Good luck in your search. As a matter of fact good luck to all of us. ph > > I just bought yesterday 6 big jugs of the Ozarka reverse osmosis processed drinking water with calcium, magnesium and baking soda added to it. After seeing this thread, i put those jugs aside. I would have loved to continue taking it so that i could be more alkaline, but since it would throw off vitamins and minerals, i decided to be on the safe side. >  > Thanks for all those warnings. >  > >

Guest guest
Good ideas . Baking soda has a million uses. It is so cheap too. I use it in the bottom of the bird cage, guinea pig cage, to scrub the kitchen sink.... I don't use fluoride so to make things easier I buy Tom's natural toothpaste but I have used baking soda. It does make your teeth squeaky clean. hugs, Sue From: Carlene <carlene.grimshaw>Subject: Re: What Foods are High in Magnesium ? Guest guest
I'm jealous , just kidding, but I did use to have a pet himaylian abisinian guinea pig, had long white coat, with pink eyes. As a child coming home from school, it would always know it was me coming in the door, it also could tell even from clear down the hallway into another room, that I was getting it some lettuce from our refridgerator to give to him to eat, and it would let out a piercing high pitched squeak, so cute, it would get so exicited and wiggle it's rear end up in the air in delight whenever given a treat or during bath time. I became allergic to it, it affected my breathing, so I had to give it to my best friend. Guess what, her mother found out she as well was allergic to it, so they had to give it away to someone. So therefore I was very disappointed and upset over this, because now I would never see my guinea pig ever again. At least we gave to my best girlfriend it's homemade huge cage that me and my Dad built for it together. So my guinea pig had a nice big space to run around in, hopefully it was loved and taken good care of up until it's departure from earth. So I can see that you as well love pets in your life and family. Take Care. journeyintolife From: Carlene <carlene.grimshaw>Subject: Re: What Foods are High in Magnesium ? Guest guest
Baking soda is still working for most of my body as far as the crawling and biting go, but for the first time both arms are covered with bite-size lesions (up to 1/4 " each). I resumed 2x daily doses of seabuckthorn berry oil (2/3 dropper each time) and the lesions are fading. Also, neither the baking soda nor the Arm and Hammer laundry detergent are killing the things in my scalp. Also, as a result of (apparently) more critters in my scalp, I'm also having more fallout from my head, including more crawling on my face, brows, etc. I may have to go back to daily lice combing. Ugh. Thought I could (happily) let that go. katie > > Hi all > > The baking soda has me worried some. The store bought stuff is cheaper and it has that alunimum sulphate or what ever it is in it. Less stinging. But way more crawling. At first the skin was almost quiet. My hubby took me out on a date. I left the house with one in my right ear. Tiny one. A semi biter on the bottom of my right foot. Than I don't recall feeling anything else. I used my sea salt and the new hope soap twice. Let it dry on each time. Rinsed off the first session after 5 min. Than left on the secound session. By 1 pm. 1 light movement in the hair. By 3 pm. slight pinching on the shoulders and arms and crawlers in the pubic area. Biter on bottom of both feet. Now 9 pm. and crawling on my palms, bottoms of my feet, my cheeks, and also feel tickles of things crawling on the ends of my hair. Guest guest
Hi I use 1 teasp baking soda & 1 cup of water & dump it over my head & coat my whole body & leave it to dry. , it is awesome. It feels like there are no bugs 1 hr later. I put it in my shoes & it kills them , it is caustic. I put in 1/2 inch of baking soda in my boots one day & it disollved my callouses , I put a thick paste on my back & layed in a puddle of baking soda for 30 min it gave me a bright red sunburn , I rinsed it off & all the pain dissapeared in 20 mins , but when I looked a my back I could see all the bumps they were living in, it made them visaible . I then began soakind daily in a borax , I put a puddle of 1/4 cup borax per gal of water with a damp towel on my deflated air matress , it has killed 90 pecent of the bugs on my back , in 60 days of this soaking 2 times per day all should be soaked out & poisoned ..I hope. It worked for my feet I soaked my feet in 2 tbls borax & 2 cups of water for 30 mins per day 2 times daily for 60 days in a pair of rubber boots , my feet are bugless. They did not come back. I wear cowboy boots always to protect my feet . I bleach the boots w/ 2 cups bleach & 3 gal of water for 12 hrs weekly. They can take it because they are Dickes El Paso boots from Miejors or any shoe store, or on line $60.00 They last for 6 months of this bug abuse I am forced to do. It dosnt hurt them , they alway look like new & my feet never get bit unless I take my boots off. I lost a ddate last week when she asked me to take my boots of before I walk in to her house with 2 cats ... yikes ...! I should of said I have terrible poison ivy on my feet from a vacation , & it is best for them to be left in the boots. I am so slow & stupid, I said I never take my boots off. What a moron I am . she thought I was being rude .The date was over ... More bug abuse ... its really hard. I am stopping the bug very well with arm & hammer powdered laundry soap 1 cup per gallon of water in a sprayer & 1 teasp per cup of water on my skin & left on God bless you , Bye , Bill Reyes wrote: > Â > Hi All, > Can someone please tell me how they use the baking soda. Guest guest
Hi Lynn, Are you confusing baking powder and baking soda? I've never seen baking soda with any other ingredients than sodium bicarbonate. Baking powder can contain aluminum. Just a question for clarity. Wishing you the best, Rose N. > > Hi all > > The baking soda has me worried some. The store bought stuff is cheaper and it has that alunimum sulphate or what ever it is in it. Guest guest
Thank you, Lynn. Also, the seabuckthorn berry oil is working its magic and my lesions are nearly gone. If I keep taking 2/3 dropperful 2x daily for a couple of weeks, they won't come back unless I shed fresh critters on my arms from my head. I have to contain my scalp rascals. They are the worst when they fall out on the top of my feet and on my arms. Love ya. katie PS I take 1 tsp baking SODA in a glass of water 2x daily also, and I mix 3 TBSP in a cup of warm water and, after I shower using blue Dawn as shower gel, and rinse, I drizzle the baking soda mixture over me with this bottle. It seems about the right strength once I towel off most of it. Guest guest
I agree we have a loving bunch of people here. I want to say something about how groups evolve to that point, in preparation for the inevitable disruption that occurs around those who arrive here tapped out mentally, financially, medically, AND SPIRITUALLY. There is no emotion left in them but pain. I've certainly been there. And even in a group without all of the issues each of us deals with daily, every group goes through an inevitable developmental process that I have never been able to avoid, even though I have understood it for a generation. And that (some of you have heard this before, but our crowd does evolve, so I like to run it by everyone so those who need it have it) is the stages human beings go through emotionally when they belong to a group. First is the most startling thing, the definition of a group. A group becomes a new group with a change (addition OR subtraction) of even just one person. So an established bridge club who has to replace an ill member with a new person, even if the person is already known to the group, IS A BRAND NEW CLUB. Second, why does this happen? The answer lies in what motivates human behavior. The first and most important thing is survival/procreation. The second one involves our relationships. The farther we go on the list of what makes us behave as we do, the less vital the motivators. The least important to our survival is self-actualization: doing what we know we were born to do. But if we lose our job / income / mate, we go back to that basic survival level. It is like a triangle, with the have to haves on the bottom, and the nice to haves up at the top. If our bottom level of our triangle gets knocked out from under us, our priorities immediately change: we forget all about love and self-actualization and do whatever it takes to get a job, a home, food, sex (yes, more important than love in the survival scale). So in a group like ours, here are the stages: Someone arrives. They walk in and when they write/speak, they do not know what those who have been here a while (us) know. They ask questions we've long since answered. Loudly. Pushing aside the questions that the long-timers are researching at level 87 or something. The newbies come in at level 1 and want us to get down off level 87 and play with them. That is not much different than every group of people who come together for any other reason. FORMING So the first thing that has to happen for the group to return to its previous level of functioning is that the newbie gets in, looks around, asks questions, we answer them, and then they start to feel okay being here. They are recognized, accepted. The group has re-formed. STORMING Then the newbie, who now knows a little more about the group, starts asking even more questions because they are here to get answers just like us, and just like us, bring their own other life experiences and knowledge. They know they are part of the group. They are in the room. But where do they sit? Whose chair do they take, lol? NORMING Everyone figures out where to sit and they've found a chair for their newest MEMBER. The group starts getting back to business. There is still some explaining by longtimers to newcomers, and some learning in the other direction, often a LOT, but the group is settling down. PERFORMING This is what happens when a group has completely integrated, formed alliances, in our case usually based on a combination of EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, that is, everyone figures out who they click the best with, they develop and redevelop friendships and subgroups, and the group begins to function as or more efficiently than it did before, because now it has "fresh blood" (expertise, experiential history, personality) and SHARED RESEARCH. That is a lovely place to be, and it sounds like we are there. Enjoy it! Because this is a cycle. We are never static. But I encourage you to ALSO enjoy observing us, we are a dynamic, persistent, creative, wonderfully diverse group of people who just happen to be here because we share something not so nice. But frankly, my life would be far less complete without all of you. So for whatever reason, I feel BLESSED to be here, and all of you are the reasonS why. Love, > > > > Thank you, Lynn. Guest guest
That is an excellent question, Lynn. Actually, I thought I had fleas, awful mean fleas, the icepick biters that look like the kind of weevils that get in flour. Those are my black speck mites. They are all over my body, but the ones I have studied the most, that are the easiest to collect, live within the flesh of my scalp and feet. I was crying on my desk at work, begging my boss to spray, and being told NO ONE WAS BEING BOTHERED BUT ME. After a lot of research, I learned the terms " host specific " and " host loyal. " They mean completely different things, of course. To recap briefly, " host specific " alleges that a particular parasite only bites or resides in a particular species. An article posted years ago on a scabies board by a Louisiana farmer (and thoughtfully reposted periodically by Doe here) scoffs at the idea that something that lives on blood would be choosy about the source. Also, since I've found termites, flies, springtails, weevils, lice, fleas, and now mostly morgellons living off my well fed and obviously tasty blood, I speak also from experience. This unfortunately means that everyone is fair game. However... " host loyal, " however, is a trait shared by cat fleas and rat mites, among many others, and it just means that a particular parasite PREFERS its host to others. I now believe this may be simply because the rest of their " group " lives on the host, so if they went to another, they would find it lonely and thus one of the prime mover for all creatures, procreation, more challenging. Acquired taste for a particular host may also translate to a preference for the blood of the familiar host, or also, since we now know that parasites bring, farm, and feed on various funguses, if they leave us, they are also moving away from their OTHER food (other than our blood per se). One of my fellow employees summed up my particular situation and helped me to accept my unhappy uniqueness when she said, " Have you ever wondered, , why YOU are the ONLY ONE BEING BITTEN? " Of course we get that a lot here... but then others, and we never know who they will be, catch them from us almost immediately. I instinctively knew my mother would be vulnerable. She has awful allergies and sometimes gets thrush (a fungus) on her tongue. I felt like she already has the farm, just not the farmers. So I have steered clear of her house as much as possible. The good news is at work, though I turned myself in a pariah by trying to ensure others were safe, and inspired my bosses to try to get rid of me by underhanded means (since they can't get me on productivity, that is excellent), that no one, since my first parasite (which I now think was birdmites from my turkey gobbler) in 1985, has EVER gotten this from me. Of course I don't hug, shake hands, or spend time in people's homes, I have (now) a custom antistatic mat that covers my entire work area ($450 worth out of my pocket) so I vacuum the walkway outside my area but swiffer my mat with the Lysol sheets given to me by my boss. I am not allowed to spray for bugs (though I use NO pesticides), or anything else I bring from home. I was also written up for vacuuming too much in my old office (I was providing the filters and vacuuming my area daily and the whole office at the time, which was six workspaces and common areas) for free weekly. Written up. But it has paid off. Like I said, in all these years, knock wood, I have not transmitted this to anyone other than my poor sweet husband, whose gout (uric acid) kills them, so they don't stick around on him. They come to me. I know I wrote a very long answer to a simple question, but I have never really explained all this in one place, that is, that I haven't transmitted it and why I think that is true. Thanks for asking--I feel better now! Love, > > > > Believe it or not, the person I am today I OWE to the bugs. They made me choose to start living my life, to get it off permanent hold.
