Guest guest
Hi Don, I have a question about the recipe for soaking cabbage. I told it to my mom and she looked it up in a book of hers and says the book she says tells her to soak it for 3 days, rather than four or five. She says her book says this is the optimum number of days. Could you comment on the number of days to soak the cabbage, cuz my husband wants me to make some for him ( I'm going to make rejuvilac with organic wheat berries for myself, since I"m vitamin K senstivie, and cabbage juice for him since he feels more yeast sensitive ( I've had yeast flare-ups inmy life but am overall I feel not as yeast sensitive as he is )). Anyways, my question in this e-mail pertains to the length of time for soaking cabbage and the reasoning behind leaving it til the fifth day. The book my mom has seems to feel that the third day is the last day and then to drain it, before the enzymes start to die off. Please comment. I haven't started a batch of that yet, but will get around to it later today or by tomorrow morning for ssure. Today I'm driving up to the Jemez to visit my daughter at Hummingbird music camp where unfortunately in spite of charging an arm and a leg, they feed the kids CRAP. Blessings, Cathie

It is the friendly bacteria. Yes, if you are going to eat cabbage for the enzymes then you will want to eat it fresh. But in the case of re-infesting the bowels with friendly bacteria then you will wish to let it go for 4 days 5 max. Unless, of course, you are making sauer kraut. LOL Sauer Kraut is also very good for the bowels as it helps to clean them out. Sigh, what society puts our children through. Some day we will all put our foot down and demand that these institutions treat our children like humans. Heck, we need to educate them as to what a proper diet is. Do have a good time visiting your daughter. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
