I started my journey into ES suspecting  shingles but he rash looked different.

Whatever

it was left over-reactive nerves & ES that keeps getting worse b/c we

have to do electrical work & a new tower's up.

I need to check how much we wi-fi signal but w the new tower may not make a

difference.

Remember

reading a research paper stating w'ere high in lysines. Do any notice

your pain's worse after high lysines foods?  When I ate these in the

beginning pain lessoned, now can make worse.

Hmmmm, Kathy,

Very interesting question and results, after I googled a bit!  I looked up a

chart for lysine vs arginine (this diet--high lysine and low arginine-- is good

for herpes and other viruses.)  The chart is here:

http://www.herpes.com/Nutrition.shtml

I love all the foods on the chart down to the fish and I eat most of them on a

regular basis.  Infact, they are pretty much my favorite foods!  The entire

chart list I like, but the foods higher than 1.5 lysine to arginine ratio are

all my favorites.  For me personally, no, I do well on all these foods.  I

have no problems eating them.  Interesting tho, because I have been dxed as a

veritable bacterial, fungal, and viral mine-dump! Maybe I love these foods

because they keep the bacteria and viruses in check!?! As to why these would

now cause you pain, Kathy, I have no clue!

But this brings up a point I have been pondering today--how much are bacteria

and viruses (and lyme disease, in particular) involved in ES?  I got a phone

call from a French friend today who is on a new lyme therapy and it is helping

her ES!  She says alot of ESsers in Europe are finding they have lyme

disease.  She is sending me more info, but for now what I know is she is

taking matricaria chamomilla, achilea millefolum, and citrus aurantium in very

low doses. She said the doc said this is not to kill off lyme, but to

strengthen her immune system so that her body can kill off the lyme. I will let

the forum know how she does over time. Maybe this is a therapy which some of us

will want to try? I will see what I can find out further on this subject.

Sorry I didn't have any answers to help you personally, Kathy.

Always searching for new ideas. This was an interesting topic, Kathy; thanks

for asking about the lysine.

Hi again, Kathy,

I looked further and I found this site, check it out when you can:

http://www.healthcentral.com/chronic-pain/h/lysine-supplementation-causes-muscle\

-pain.html

It sounds as tho the supplementation of lysine causes pain.  I have not been

taking supplements, I instead eat a diet high in lysine.

Bless you,

Diane
