Guest guest
I use a Frigidar old style fridge with a small ice box, I always try to seek out this type second hand as it does not bother me, whereas a Zanussi one I tried out really bothered me. But I cant find the model no sorry. it is about 10yrs old. Pretty basic no fancy bits. With the ice box I think it can help if you turn it off at nights to keep the temp down. You can get gas fridges of course. puk In a message dated 07/01/2011 17:44:34 GMT Standard Time, lessemf@... writes: I suggest putting it on a timer. Guest guest
The best have no auto-defrost. Like Conserv and Sun Frost. Or the vintage Frigidaires from like the 60's. (The defrost motors are usually open-frame (aka C-frame) which don't the confine the field at all. Of course you want the circuit it's on to have clean power. Stetzer's near the panel might help with that. Guest guest
Hi Puk, How can you tell if a fridge bothers you or not? Can you feel it when you stand near it? I am wondering if my energy efficient fridge is part of the reason I am so tired. However, I don't feel any different next to it than any other place in the house. Any thoughts on this will be appreciated. Thanks. Cheryl From: paulpjc@... <paulpjc@...> Subject: Re: Fridge died..what do you have and is it tolerable? Guest guest
sometimes " energy efficient " means electronics that control motor current. You don't want that. See if a radio buzzes near the fridge or cord... On Fri, Jan 7, 2011 at 11:46 AM, Cheryl g <cheryl_griffing@...>wrote: > > > Hi Puk, > > How can you tell if a fridge bothers you or not? Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, as per advice below from bill, if the fridge is bad it could be allowing ingress from the electronics into your house wiring and giving you a dose that way, the fridge I tried out made me feel uneasy throughout my whole body likk bill says its got electronics whereas my old fridge has not.
