Guest guest
Hi, I have been sleeping in the camper all summer and am now back in the house, and the house is very difficult for me, last winter I barely slept all winter. My bedroom is covered on 3 sides with ordinary household aluminun foil, I had it grounded to the elect system, but now have 2 small wires run outside to their own ground rods. Most of the elect plug ins and lights are on one wire, instead of turning off a breaker I have the wire on a 3 prong plug and unplug it at night. The ceiling has aluminum foil built in to the insulation, and I have moved most of the wires in the basement so they dont pass under the bedroom anymore. I have had the very low frequency buzz I hear stop because of the changes I made, but I hear a very high frequency buzz that keeps me awake all night. Reading on this forum of people putting aluminum under the bed, I put aluminum foil under my side of the bed and feel a certain amount better. I ususlly wake up about 5am and cant get back to sleep, now with aliminum between the matresses I am getting some sleep in the morning also, I dont have it grounded but it still hepls. I dont know what it is that I am picking up but the aluminum has helped a fair amount. I had been thinking about getting a big cardboard box big enough to sleep in and covering all 6 sides with foil and sleeping in it as a test but I dont think I will need that now. I have read a book on insomnia, that was very interesting to learn about, I think it would be required reading for anyone who owns a body. One of the first things an insomniac develops is a very big dislike for their own bedroom, that sounds familiar, and some insomniacs will even pitch a tent in the yard and sleep in that, that also sounded familiar, except for me I felt there was a reason. We all have 2 body clocks and neither of them run on a 24 hr scedule, both of them have to be set every day by getting up, getting an hour in the sun and getting to bed at a regular time. Sleeping in on the weekend is enough to reset the body clock so that we do not function on monday morning :-) XYZ
