Guest guest
Sheri, It's good to see your perspective on this. I have noticed a similar pattern with my children (although not as much lately) when compared with another family that we're close to. Their diet is pretty awful and their lifestyle isn't exactly the picture of health. Their children rarely have colds however and this has been (not very nicely) pointed out to me every time one of mine had the sniffles. It never bothers me though, because what I've come to realize is that your body builds up a tolerance to things. Just as a person who smokes their first cigarette chokes and gags and coughs, their body is saying nope, not a good thing to do. But after they do this enough (ignoring their body's signals) the body pretty much gives up trying to warn them and moves on to trying to adapt to this new toxin that is now present in the body. I noticed a similar pattern when considering our diets. When someone in my family starts to seem congested, or otherwise " off " , I immediately look for the reason why. It is a signal to me that we have slacked off in some area. Usually, they aren't drinking enough water, or their diet has consisted of too much starch and not enough fresh fruits/veggies. Those are almost always the culprits (although of course there could be other factors). Eliminating starchy foods (breads, tofu, etc.) and drinking more water, or eating exclusively live foods always fixes the problem. When my husband and I were younger, before we changed our lifestyles, we ate the typical American diet. Mcs, processed foods and Pepsi. We rarely ate vegetables (and when we did they were cooked to death) and I can say for myself, almost NEVER drank water. To imagine existing like that now, I can hardly comprehend it. But I'm saying all of this to say that you would think we would have constantly been sick. Eating no real foods, no live fruits or vegetables, no WATER... we used to have colds occasionally, as most people did, but our bodies were certainly suffering on a much deeper level. How could my body warn me about the levels of starches in my diet when that was all I ate (along with animals and animal by-products). Peace & Blessings, Yahmeema <<Chelly, I'll try to answer this from a homeopathic perspective. It is GOOD that a child gets sick - its hard to understand. But it is a sign of a healthy immune system/vital force that the body is able to produce symptoms to throw of the disturbance (that is called illness). Your friends child is dealing with a chronic illness and can't get minor acute illnesses as his disturbance is deeper and the body is dealing with that. That is not good, as he is not able to throw of the same disturbance that he probably has.>> __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hello all, To those of you in Phila area, Collegeville etc, I am in Wyomissing, Berks County - home of Vanity Fair outlet complex (suburb of Reading) Migraines - I've had them for years. Rheumy tells me that part of the reason I get them is that there is so much arthritis in my neck and the joints swell and pinch off the blood vessels and therefore blood supply to the head. I've started about a year ago with Imitrex injections for migraines. I don't use them often, but it surely is nice to know that I have something in my medical cabinet that I can take. They are in a plunger form of injection and easy to use - must use them before the migraine takes over to do the job. This drug doesn't have the let me sleep for 3 days side affect..........I get a rush or warm feeling within a few minutes of the injection, I try to lay down about a half hour and the pain is gone and not the drowsiness that typically comes from migraine meds. I can't say that I've had headaches from MTX or Remicade. Nanc in PA
Guest guest
I am new to this group. I love the way that you all conect and share your stories and successes and challenges. What info do you have or can offer links to about HIV/AIDS? If what I read is correct, ldn stops/slows progression of illnesses, doesn't cure it. If viral load is high, would it stop/slow progression, then allowing immune system to begin to recover and have more ammunition to continue the fight? Thanks for your voices. Be Peace,

Click on previous link and scan the past seveal days for the HIV/AIDS topics.
