I need to hear from all the people who are interested in this contest. Do we need to extend the starting time a little bit? Do we need to re-vamp the judging criteria a bit? We have some great prizes. The winner gets to choose from the three prize choices of: A handmade doll that is an original by Tami. She usually makes these for sale at some pricy shops in her area. This one would retail for $100.00 OR receive a coupon good for one of the LifeLift videos, OR receive a coupon good for some of the Haines beauty products for the amount of $30.00. The second placer winner would get second choice and the third place winner would get the final prize.

I will be setting up the list so that a daily e-mail will go out that you will respond to by clicking on the link provided. It will take you to onelist where you will log in your results. The results will be sent back to the list the next day so everyone can see how we are all doing.

As for the pictures, it would be good to have the before picture as soon as possible. Remember these pictures are not for public viewing, only members of our list will have access to them in the files section of onelist.

Karma, do you need to send the before picture now, or just take one and than take another a month from now and send both. I still do not think i can send a picture, maybe i was doing something wrong. Where do we post our daily stuff at, could you please explain again. Cheryl

Karma, I just wanted to say this contest is a great idea and I am

definitely in. The only thing is next Tues I'm going to California for

three weeks and I don't know if I'll have access to a computer everyday.

Please take your measurements today. Chest, Upper Abs., Waist, lower Abs., Hips, thigh, calf, bicep. Also need your weight before and after, so weigh yourself today.

As for your picture. Please have a full body picture taken. Doesn't have to be fancy. Not looking at makeup, clothes, hairstyle. Just YOU. We will then want an after picture taken on May 10th, again full body. We will be looking for the difference that one month of LifeLift makes on your body!

Then be sure to log into onelist each day and record your workout on the daily poll.

The winner will be the person with the most points. Each of these categories will be awarded points, then the points will be added up and the person with the most points wins.

Karma, I have deleted all of my messages from the last few days due to the virus and so don't know for sure what the contest is. Through the grapevine I think it is to send a picture of ourselves? I would love to do that but don't know how with out a scanner. Can you still do it? If someone knows how would you let me know?

I know that I can send you my measurements, but it is a nill right now on

pictures. You see, I do not have a scanner and do not have the money to go

have somebody else scan it onto the computer for me. Do you have another way

Hi Folks,

I want to second Karma's e-mail! I started doing LL around the first of

March. I really saw significant loss of inches during the first 2 weeks.

Then company came and went, and more company came and went! I have not

been able to be consistent, during these past 2 weeks, so I lost ground.

I haven't lost any weight at all. SOOOOOO..... I need motivation. I

NEED YOOUUU! I've tried hard to commit to a minimum of 2 workouts of

some sort every day. I have company coming AGAIN next week, so I know I

need to get the habits established so I won't lose ground! This contest

is a win-win for everyone. SO GET INVOLVED!!!!

On a personal note, I've noticed that there are several of us that are in

that 39-40 age group! I turned 40 in January. I will also be

celebrating my 10th anniversary on May 6th. Additionally, my younger

sister is getting married on June 17th. I'm really hoping that I can

manage to drop a dress size and a few pounds for these occasions. Even

though I don't post often, I read everything and get MAJOR encouragement

from all of you. We are a team, and with TEAMWORK we can all SUCCEED!!!

Hi Karma,

I am participating but I just haven't been able to send in my stats/pic yet.

I will as soon as possible! I have just moved and things have been a bit

hectic but I am putting a time limit to next week to get my rear in gear and

My local library has a scanner that is available to anyone for free. Does yours? Also my local Wal-Mart has a machine back in the one hour developing section that scans pictures. An option is to save the scanned picture to disk. If neither of those works, Mail them to Rashelle. She will get them to me.

Now can anyone tell me how to breathe through a stuffed up nose and swollen

throat?

Yes, Dear Grammy Pat...this is Libby the speech therapist: drink hot

tea and lemon...now THIS will sound funny but it works: take tweezers

and tug or tickle nose hairs...usually this produces a slight

irritation that will cause the secretions to thin (helps the sinuses

to drain) and may make you sneeze. Because you have thinned the

secretions you can usualy then blow your nose and clear a lot of it.

If you have plugged sinuses on top of it alternate a washcloth dipped

in very wam water with one dipped in ice water on your face over the

sinus areas one minute at a time for each. Usually after about 5

minutes of this it will literally begin to pump out your sinuses and

relieve the pressure...and with out drugs to make you groggy!

You are just too wonderful for words.Tami told me the doll was about ready to be shipped to me for signing so after talking with her today, I feel certain that we will have our Tami back safe and sound soon.

Hi Everyone,

I have missed everyone while my computer was down. I have been reading through the messages trying to get caught up.

Tami had sent me a personal e-mail before she left for the hospital to tell me what was going on. I was able to get it from the library computer. I am also very worried for her, yet trust that she will be fine. I have to trust that because I am a glass half full type person, and I have to look at the positive side of things.

Now, about the contest. I need help. My computer hard drive had to be reformatted, so all pictures that were e-mailed to me were lost. I only got s page posted to the net before my computer quit. I had everyone ready to be posted, then my computer started acting up. If I had known then what I know now, I would have kept on putting the pages on the net. I had no idea that would be the last time all the information stored on my hard drive would be accessible to me. And of course, I wasn't able to back things up either.

I need for people to send me the pictures and measurements again. I am so sorry to be such a pain.

We also may have to postpone the awards being given out. Tami was working on the Rashelle doll on Wednesday. It isn't finished yet. I am trusting that she will be back and able to work on these projects that she loves to do so much. She loves to work in her garden and on her art. I trust that she will be back up in no time. That is the image that I am holding in my believing mind for her.

I also am not willing to put any pressure on her at all for this contest. We might have to come up with an alternative prize if that is alright with all the contestants. I know that if Tami is able, she will want to finish this project. I just want to make sure that we all know that we should have an alternative in mind to take the pressure off her.
