Guest guest
Gentlepeople, This is just a heads up for anybody practicing in Washington without a license. The Medical License Board has decided the only people who can legally provide biofeedback services in Washington are licensed health care professionals and those certified by BCIA or NTCB. Their investigators are currently questioning anybody on the internet or advertising in the state. The investigators are trying to identify non-licensed practitioners who are not certified by NTCB or BCIA. Two people I've know for a long time have been called and asked to identify people they knew were practicing without a license. They both said they freely gave this information to avoid any problems. They made the right decision in my opinion. If you live and practice in Washington and are not licensed in a health care profession or certified by BCIA or NTCB you need to make a decision too. Note this also applies to retired clinicians previously but not currently licensed. While the Seattle Times has concentrated on quantum biofeedback, the investigators are seeking anybody not properly credentialed. In my opinion, there are more classical than quantum biofeedback practitioners in Washington lacking a license and certification. Peace, PS: Please do not call me concerning BCIA.org or NTCB.org. I'm not currently associated with either group. _______________________________________________ No banners. No pop-ups. No kidding.
