Thanks Don,

Thanks for the input. Flax really slimes up, and I mean it REALLY slimes !

I never knew what mucilage was, except for that over the counter stuff

called Mucilage (i think).

Guess I'll have to try sprouting something else instead. The flax was a big

pain in the butt not to mention a huge dissapointment for a first time

sprouting endeavor.

Hi Pam,

Yes they are. People used to sprout in jars before all the fancy

sprouters came out. As to the flax seeds, well they contain a lot of

mucilage (like okra) and I really have never tried sprouting them so I

can't answer that one but they sure are good even when soaked.
