Guest guest
Another issue, sort of a side effect, is that I can now feel my feet itching, they feel hot and sweaty on a hot day, and my jeans are very annoying. Until LDN I knew I had feet because I could see them, and I always felt like I had shorts on. The return of sensation is a wonderful thing, I'm sure, but sometimes the sensations are annoying ones. I had forgotten that not all sensation was nice... ----- Original Message ----- From: Kathy Penrose Cc: Hi everyone Sent: Monday, May 10, 2004 10:05 AM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] what is the downside? And they are growing like you wouldn't believe! So we have stiffness, supposedly temporary (I'm still waiting for it to go away...), faster growing hair and toenails, and a changed sleep cycle, some for the better, some for the worse albeit another temporary change. And a change in appetite. Not bad.
Guest guest
I missed the beginning of this thread, but WOW, I have also noticed my hair and nails are growing much faster than before I was taking LDN. That's not just me?? Other people see this too?? Does this implay faster aging, etc.?? Or just a more vigorous constitution?? Guest guest
FSH refers to follicles in the ovary, not hair!. Guest guest
Someone mentioned a while ago they read that FSH would also be increased, that's Follicle Stimulating Hormones. Perhaps our hair and nails are NOW growing the rate they are supposed to. I know people who get 5 oclock shadow at 10am, I know others who get it at 5 oclock... but I didn't get it til Wednesday, now I'll get it Tuesday. I don't think aging has anything to do with it. What are hair and nails? Excreted proteins, right? I was told a few years ago my body wasn't "utilizing proteins" properly... I guess now they are! ?????????? I dunno. ----- Original Message ----- From: lbl2669 low dose naltrexone Sent: Monday, May 10, 2004 18:46 Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: what is the downside? Guest guest
I believe it means we are utilising our body better. Maybe the same mechanisim that is growing our hair and nails faster is working on our myelin and restoring it as fast as it is being destroyed. So to carry this one step farther if we find the right amount to take every night, and stay with it will we catch up and surpass the destruction that is being created? Now I know myelin is completely different than hair but is it when it comes to responding to ldn. Something is happening in my body and not just with my beard either.
