Guest guest
That's a great idea! Who do we target first! What if we picked one focal point each month, and then ALL us > sent emails/letters to that contact point? Think of the impact it would > make if a newspaper, doctor, NMSS or other " strategic " influence points > were to receive so many messages extolling the value of LDN. Guest guest
This idea should be developed more. Good idea to FOCUS our efforts (hopefully on LDN), hit them like a swarm of bees.. Does anyone know what is our force size, how many of us would be willing to write e-mails ?. Maybe we could join forces with other LDN groups in the US and abroad. This info could be helpful in estimating the impact we will have on the recipient. In the recent round of letters to the NMSS, we managed to put some pressure on the NMSS. Would't it be nice to know if this was achieved with 20 or 50 e-mails. Also, if we knew how many were in the EWC (e-mail writer's corps, just made this up!), we could double the impact by drafting more recruits. Maybe we need a corps commander ?. This is war after all. Guest guest
Good ideas Aegis. I might suggest the following to get started, if the people in this group think it is a good idea. 1. Designate " ambassadors " to other LDN groups. They would contact the other groups, propose the idea and gain support and ideas. Create an international coalition . 2. Create a prioritized 'target' list from all the groups internationally. I would suggest the initial priority be those groups or individuals who would have a vested interest in our story. This wouldn't just be medical interests but also those whose lively hood is dissemination of interest information or investigation. IE; Readers Digest (have you noted the thread of medical expose articles in their issues?), newspapers...they are always looking for interest stories, ask 'friendly' doctors who they would recommend, magazines, 60 Minutes...any source that would have reach and frequency....reach the most people the most times. If we can build a ground swell amongst these information outlets, more reluctant groups will be forced to respond. Even a public negative response is good! It creates awareness, and in many cases pubic outcry that forces them to rethink their positions. 3. Gather all forms of statistical information..ie, the survey one member here did was excellent. Can we expand the survey, via our ambassadors, to the other LDN groups? This information should be sent to our targets, along with each of us providing our own stories of success with LDN and trials in getting the prescription. Just some initial thoughts. As I said, the first step is agreement within this group and then gaining unified agreement amongst the other LDN groups. At 09:21 AM 5/23/2004, you wrote: This idea should be developed more.
