Guest guest
> > I keep reading that after three months on LDN Dr. Bihari suggests that you may want to go off copaxone. Does anyone know if there is a right way and a wrong way to do this? Would it make any difference if you dropped your daily shots down to six a week or five a week? Would the LDN work faster at a lower dose? Sheila: Although my neuro is against skipping Copa shots, I know of several people who only take 5 shots a week, one was actually advised to do so by her dr. I usually " skip/miss " a shot once a week especially if I am doing something away from the house at my shot time. At my last neuro appt., I told my dr. about this and she said that she couldn't " promise " the drug would work as it is supposed to at less than what is prescribed. I asked her if she was going to " promise " me that if I took it everyday, she could guarantee results. Of course she realized how stupid her comment was and backpedaled....My husband and the nurse were hysterical at this exchange! This is the dr. who refuses to acknowledge any value to LDN.. Neuro's are not my favorite dr.s!! I can't imagine that missing a few shots here and there would be that big a deal! If it makes you feel better about things, I believe you should do it. Guest guest
Sheila: I feel the same way. Been shooting up since 1994 when Betaseron was first prescribed. Did that for 2 1/2 yrs and then Avonex for 6 yrs, Rebif for 1 1/2 months and have been on Copaxone since Oct. 2002. My skin still has scars from the Betaseron! By far the Copaxone is the easiest for me with no side effects. I had constant headaches after every interferon injection. Don't worry about those missing shots. Gail > Gail and Yash, > Thanks for the replies. Recently (2-3 weeks) I have been missing a shot a week. I usually give my shot at 9 a.m and now I am going to PT at that time once a week.
