Guest guest
Ferrous Sulphate, Ferrous Glutomate, Spatone. Not sure about the dose of Spatone, but it is not as potent as the previous too. If your iron level is very low, you may need to take Ferrous Sulphate/Fumerate 200mgs twice, or even three times daily to get the initial boost you require. Take it with food and high doses of vitamin C such as 3/4000 or even 5000mgs daily. This will help keep your bowels functioning normally. After the initial boost and your ferritin level starts to rise, you can take 200mgs daily until your serum ferritin level has reached somewhere in the region of 70 to 90. Luv - Sheila can anyone share with me what iron you have found good at improving ferritin levels? also what dose is safe to take daily? .x No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
If you have low ferritin, no amount of thyroid hormone replacement or your own thyroxine can get into the cells. You should be taking at least 200mgs Ferrous Sulphate or some other such form of elemental iron, and if your ferritin is really low, you should be taking this amount 2 or 3 times daily with food, and with HIGH doses of vitamin C e.g. 5/6000mgs. Luv - Sheila I've got very low ferritin and had been supplementing with about 120mg a day for a few months now. I ran out about a week ago so haven't been having any until my order came through today. Since I've been without it I've gradually got more and more depressed and tired - does anyone know if it's possible for dropping off it to have that much impact so quickly? Guest guest
Hi Hannah, you will not get blocked up if you eat high fibre foods and take the large doses of Vitamin C that we recommend i.e. 5/6000mgs. and take exercise, of course. Luv - Sheila I'm a bit concerned about taking ferrous sulphate and getting 'blocked up'! I figured the Blue bonnet was better as it's non constipating. Dr P said not to bother with the ferrous sulphate as you may as well chew rusty nails but it has to have more value than that surely?! Wondering if I should add it in as well. I've got 200mg tablets which says each tab is the equivalent to 65mg of ferrous iron. How many do you then take? Go on the 200mg figure or the 65mg? Many thanks Hannah --- In

Hmmm, way back when I was really sensitive to EMF (but didn't even realize that EMF was the problem!), the doctors were running all sorts of tests on me, and at the time I had *low* iron. And in my more recent test, iron has been pretty normal. Marc
