Correct dose for LDN?

My wife has just started taking LDN (3mg). She was getting sicker by the day, that stopped on the third day on LDN, she has then had minor improvements.

Whilst the general result on LDN would seem to be that the disease stops and minor improvements occur, there are cleanly a few that receive major improvements.

The big question is what is the common factor for those few i.e. is it just chance or could we all do something to make us get into that group.

If you are one of the few I would like to know your story i.e. what dose are you on, how long have you been on it? Do you have a view of why it worked so well for you? I think I am asking a question which everyone would like an answer to but if you are not prepared to answer on a public web page, please send me an email to my personal address davidtaylor@...

Also I am sure most people reading this will be convinced that LDN is more than a placebo effect, but does anyone know if the placebo effect works the same way, i.e. does placebo effect work the same way by boosting endorphins. My wife was basically getting sicker by the day with no hope of any improvement before she died. She is now on something that has stopped that, she also has some hope now of getting materially better. This must all have changed the chemicals in her brain i.e. she will now also be benefiting from some placebo effect. Does this also boost endorphins?

The common medical view for this drug is that you take the maximum dose that works for you up to 4.5Mg, but is this correct? We know that if you stop taking LDN you get worse, but how about taking the minimum dose that works for you, would that give you a better chance of being in the few that get a lot better?

Any views most welcome, as I say if you do not wish to answer on a public web page please feel free to use my personal email address.
