Start taking a probiotic daily & do a colon cleansing. I'm sure there is more, but that's ought to get her started. jim -- jim@... http://www.entrance.to/madscience http://www.entrance.to/poetry " I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. Guest guest
Pat, Emu oil is wonderful for psoriasis. I would add lavender essential oil to emu oil for a nice massage oil for your wife's friend. Hope this helps. Guest guest
>Emu oil is wonderful for psoriasis. I would add lavender essential oil to >emu oil for a nice massage oil for your wife's friend. It's my understanding that lavender eo is a big no-no for psoriasis, as it encourages new skin growth. Psoriasis is when new skin cells are growing uncontrollably, and the lavender eo would just make it worse. Excema, on the other hand, is helped enormously by lavender eo. My sister swears by lavender eo mixed in emu oil. She says that she hoards it until the excema " is bad " . B
Guest guest
here is what I make for my Dad. He has it in his hair and in patches all over his body. He swears by this soap. I have people that don't have it but have dry skinn love it also. Here is my recipe for Pine Tar soap. My Dad likes it. He has psorisis and he says it helps him. One thing about Pine Tar though is that it will speed up the trace of your soap extremely fast. Be ready to put it into your molds when you add it. 10 oz Olive Oil(infused with calendula) 8 ounces of Coconut Oil 7 ounces of Palm Kernal Oil 4 ounces of Shealoe Butter can sub Shea Butter 3 ounces of Palm Oil 12 ounces of water 4.5 ounces of Lye Added too water before adding Lye (optional) 2 tablespoons Sugar (for lather) 1 tablespoon salt ( for hardness) At trace add 3 teaspoons of Lavender EO 1 tsp powdered marshmellow root 1 tsp powdered nettles 1 tsp powdered comfrey When everything is all added and mixed together I then add 4 ounces of Pine Tar (warmed slightly) Use your regular CP or Hp methods. The Lavender added this way seems to have tamed the Pine Tar a bit. Pine Tar soap is a very strong smelling soap so be prepared. Also it stains so be careful. I only make small batches because my father and one other person are the only ones that have requested it so far. It works well but I just hate working with the Pine Tar. *LOL* Hubby HATES the smell. Guest guest
Do you use a special recipe for the soap for psoriasis or just a good all vegetable recipe? Thanks Sharen > [Original Message] > From: Gypsy5k <Gypsy5k@...> > <egroups> > Date: 12/28/00 6:32:26 PM > Subject: psoriasis > > Hello everyone, > My daughter and sister both have psoriasis. I have been making all vegetable based soaps now for about a year. since they have started using my soaps their psoriasis has cleared up. I started making soap because of allergies to chemicals and preservatives. I got tired of having big red itchy hives after every shower or bath. I am 46. I spent lots of money on so called " all natural " soaps. They still had chemical preservatives in them. Since using my homemade soaps no more problems. I even use it as shampoo and my itchy head quit itching. > My husband suffered from rosecea and took antibiotics most of his adult life. Since I have cleaned most of the chemicals out of my home I feel 1000 times better! Natural products are worth the time and the trouble if there is any trouble to make. Guest guest
Hi everyone, earlier I posted my lavender oatmeal soap recipe. Here is another of my favorites, I use this one as a shampoo bar also. My hair and scalp have never felt better. No more itchies or scalies. This makes a 6 lb batch. Soothing Chamomile 48 oz olive oil 30 oz coconut oil 18 oz palm kernel oil 36 oz cold distilled water 13.8 oz sodium hydroxide (lye) 1/2 cup calendula petals and 1/2 cup chamomile petals in 1-2 oz of sweet almond oil added at trace. melt your oils, concoct your lye water solution, and when they reach around 120 mix 'em together. I use a stick blender to get it to a very light trace, then add my other stuff. I don't use any scent or coloring because orginally I intended this to be a babies soap. Well, I liked it to much to label it just for babies. I probably make close to 30 some different types of soaps. If you are looking for something in particular email me I might have a recipe for it. I make soap just about everyday. Deb

Guest guest
Does the Palm oil make your hair oily? Or do you use a rinse? I've been thinking of making a SHampoo bar (on my list of things to do, if you know what I mean).
