Guest guest
Hi Aegis, Again you propose valid points and I am enjoying or conversation. I keep hearing this "snake oil" reference and it makes me giggle (sorry) simply because of the post earlier (was it from , my dear?) who pointed out that snake oil is actually a highly beneficial EFA (essential fatty acid). You are right to mention that on the disease index of Dr. Bihari's site there is no clinical evidence to support his claims, but just the tinest amount of digging can pull up, at least, anecdotal evidence from his patient notes and statements. Sam (Redtruck99) sent me this link that expounds on the theory that LDN works for HepC (HCV): http://disc.server.com/discussion.cgi?disc=148285;article=36609;title=Histamine%2C%20LDN%20and%20%20Alternative%20Therapies%20for%20MS I suppose I should have added even more links like the one above to the message? But I did not want to drown our dear Ms. Danley with too much information. I think she is already buried brain-deep in the letter I sent earlier. So I suggest that you write another letter to this woman. Send one via e-mail and one via certified postmail (as I am doing). I don't think we differ that much in our opinions- I may have put her in "information overload" without enough evidence to support the anecdotes I laid before her. I concur. And I do think we have the same general goal: To see LDN recognized as a valid therapy. While your concern is to see LDN accepted by the MS Societies and Neuros as THE best treatment for MS, my goal is to make sure it is accepted and accessible to ALL of us, without regard to type of Autoimmune Disease we may have. Those who wish to narrow the focus may still cut and paste from my letters- please do! I will still continue to address the fact that LDN has a broad range of therapeutic effect. Best to all, Lara
