Guest guest
I have Chronic Active Epstein-Barr virus of 10 months duration, and have been taking 3 mg of LDN for the past 28 days. I am getting body hair, which I didn't have before. I am sleeping better but still require 12 hours sleep to function at a low level--I have no more energy than before. I still have an itchy rash but it isn't as bad as before the LDN. I still have daily fevers, blurry vision, swollen lymph glands, swollen liver/spleen, gastro-intestinal upsets like a lot of diarrhea. So how long does it take for this LDN to work???? It is supposed to work on all autoimmune diseases, including EBV, but I am still not able to function normally. I am literally homebound most of the time because of feeling unwell and general great fatigue. The LDN has helped my fibromyalgia though. My pain level has greatly decreased. But my EBV is still very much here within me. Anyone have any ideas? I have already seen an infectious disease specialist, and all he wanted me to do was take prednisone which I cannot do because I am prone to stomach ulcers. Help please!!!!-----ette from CA
Guest guest
Thanks, Bren. Yes, the infectious disease doctor said I have the worst case of EBV he has ever seen. So I will take my LDN and wait at least 6 months. BTW, I upped my dose to 4.5 mg last night, and I had a little more energy today--I was ok with that dose, so I'll stick with it. Thankyou so much for the info. It really helps a lot. Where did you find this info from please? - ---- > > ------------ette from > > CA > ========= > > Somewhere in Bihari's writings. I have done so much research on Bihari and Zagon's work with LDN that I have no idea of where I bumped into that info at but I recall that I paid close attention to the statements about CFS and Fibromyalgia because my next door neighbor suffers Fibro. It takes longer for LDN to start kicking in with these diseases especially if they are severe cases. Mild cases could see positive results in the first month or 2nd month on LDN therapy and severe cases can take as long as 4 to 6 months to start responding. MS patients are to not give up on LDN for at least 6 months or more preferrably 9 months. > > Your EBV sounds quite severe. Don't give up LDN therapy. You may have a good thing going and just don't know it yet.
