Guest guest
Hi. I haven't posted before, so I'll give a very brief un-health background on me to help with my current issue. I'm a 29 year old mother of four (three living) who has chronic systemic candida, chronic fatigue syndrome, leaky gut syndrome, and multiple chemical sensitivites which worsen by the day. I began eating an organic whole grains diet last August, and I have been going through nutritional detox since then. I've learned to accept strange things that my body does as part of the healing. But I've got one at the moment that is getting worse and painful. My current problem/issue is that I have a sore that has formed at the base of my nipple. Yes, I am nursing a 14 month old at the moment, and no, weaning is definitely not the answer to this! The sore is only about the size of a mosquito bite, and the " head " to it is about 2mm. It was looking like a scab a few days ago, but it has started to look like an infection as in between nursings it gets a yellowish/green scab to it. It's not oozing pus, but it looks and feels like it should be. It's worst when he's nursing, though I can minimize it if I can get him to stay in a certain position, a near impossible feat with a nursing toddler. In between feedings, it occasionally hurts, but usually is ok. A few years ago I would have slapped polysporin on it; now that's not even a remote option since I'm not really wanting to have a massive thrush flare up. I've also become VERY distrustful of antibiotics because they are a large part of what destroyed my body in the first place. I put some colloidal silver on it this evening in an attempt to find something in my pantry that might help, wouldn't hurt, and was safe for ingestion. Does anyone else have other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
