Guest guest
Sol, you do know that a whey isolate is in the Physician's Desktop Reference for Prescription Drugs (PDR) for muscle wasting prevention? This documented anabolic effect is common to everyone, not just diabetics. Guest guest
Over time, my diet was making my muscles smaller. Easy to see in the bathroom mirror. Also lack of strength when doing heavy lifting. I was becoming a weak old man. That was not acceptable. I work for a living. I need my strength to be able to lug my work setup out to work & back home again. Also for hauling groceries home after a big shopping day. My muscles have been building back since I started taking whey, 2 or 3 times a day. My blood sugar (measured about an hour after I awake) was in better control after I started whey + coconut oil. I do not know for a fact, but I suspect that whey alone would stop muscle wasting, but would not have helped with high blood sugar. When the body wants carbs, it will make them out of amino acids or protein. By inducing the body to burn fat, by taking in coconut oil, twice daily while on a low carb diet, the body seems to have far less need for glucose.
