Guest guest
The following is an excerpt from a UK tabloid with a massive readership. Aspirin hope for breast cancer 08:38am 26th May 2004 Aspirin, the wonder drug that can help prevent heart attacks and strokes, also appears to reduce women's chances of developing the most common type of breast cancer, a study found. The authors of the study said that the findings are tantalising but that more research is needed before doctors can recommend that women take aspirin to ward off breast cancer The full article can be found at:- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/health/womenfamily.html?in_article_id=304312 & in_page_id=1799 It seems that the powers at hand are in a process of re-indoctrination. But it doesn't affect me ; what do the real victims think? Vryland2003 "A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort." I take 5 750mg pills/day. Trilisate is a " salicylate " , as is asprin. My rheumy says that the Trilisate is much easier on your stomach than regular aspirin. He does monitor my saliclylate level through regular blood work. It seems to be working for me, and I haven't had any stomach issues yet. It is only available by prescription, and I'm not sure what the full cost would be. (I'm also on 15mg MTX/week.) You can compare the different NSAIDs, -2 Inhibitors, and Salicylates at arthritis.org's website. A good chart is located at: http://www.arthritis.org/conditions/DrugGuide/chart_nsaids.html Hope this helps! dordale
Guest guest
Thanks for your follow-up. I'll bring this up with the rheumatologist I'm seeing July 5th. In the meantime, I just bought some enteric-coated aspirin and will be trying that for a while - four ibuprofen barely seem to lessen the pain. Leon > My rheumy prescribes Trilisate for me.
