Dear m and All,

Check your state pharmacist or pharm tech professional organizations for local

seminars and conventions:

ASHP

your states -SHP

exsample CSHP = CA

APhA

your states -PhA

example

CPhA = CA

AAPT for techs and your 'area' Texas, NC etc

In CA you can sit in on a State Board of Pharmacy meeting to get up to 6 hours

of CE! Check your state!

I have a link in my Files section and also in my Link section for the same.

Most members are seeking FREE which I can understand, but for a membership fee

you get the CE plus benefits of being a member from the pharm tech organization

of AAPT.

Budget? Try www.powerpak.com

Hope this helps,

days??? Or a seminar/class?

They are GREAT! Some times you sit by someone or knows someone who is seeking to

hire someone just like you!

At one NPTA convention in 2002 or 2003 I was offered a position in another

state, I did not want to move from CA, but I sent a friend of mine to the same

'booth' and she got an instant live conference phone call at the convention and

got hired immediately!

Most of the big conventions also have a job board and a Trade Show with a Career

or Job Fair section. This is where the hospitals, community pharmacies and

agencies come specifically to recruit employees.

In addition some states require LIVE CE, such as Alabama, which is another good

reason to attend a convention. I should point out that some live webinar are

also accepted for Live CE but you have to check with the CE sponsor and your

state board of pharmacy.

Conventions are considerably more expensive way to get CE but if you like live

presentations, people, networking etc then this is the way to go. My favorite is

LIVE CE.

Hope this helps.
