Al,

You mentioned that your wife has MS and I'm assuming you do also. Am I

correct? My wife and I were both diagnosed with MS in the past even though there

is no history of it in either family. Did you both have MS when you met or did

it show up later? Cases like this certainly points to environmental factors

causing MS. Thanks for the info on ostridge oil. Anything is worth trying. Best,

Chris

I've put off writing this for some time until I was fairly sure that what I'm about to write had some credence. I had been driven just about nuts from the effects of PN caused by too much ingestion of high doses of Thalidomide for way too long a time. I mean I tried everything for relief. One day I got a jar of that Super Blue stuff with emu oil. An emu is an ostrich. That seemed to help a little. Influenced by the emu compound, I kept researching and came to find that there was a group of folk in Canada who use pure ostrich oil to treat the weird sensations in their feet caused by MS. My wife has MS, so I was doubly interested in learning more. I wrote back and forth to some people in Canada and wound up ordering a couple bottles of pure ostrich oil from a Canadian ostrich ranch. Apparently, ostrich oil contains high concentrations of essential fatty acids that easily get into the bloodstream to soothe pain and expedite healing. It's obvious that I don't fully understand how this stuff works, but I do know that, for me at least, it was a Godsend. After a couple weeks of treatment, the difference in my feet was unreal. I mean the weirdness is still there - the bloated toes - wet noodles, waterbed feelings [whatever you want to call them] but the pain is GONE. I can function so much better now that I'm not thinking about my feet every waking moment, wondering what's going to happen next. I'm not a medical doctor and I have no clinical studies to share with you about this oil. I know that what works for one person doesn't work for another. This is all anecdotal, not scientific, and I know there are a lots of clinically-oriented folks on this board who will think I'm some kind of nut, and that's just fine with me. The only reason I'm posting this at all is because if one person can be helped - just one - to improve his/her condition with PN the way that I have been, so much the better. There is no downside to this that I am aware of. I've done this for over four months now with absolutely no side effects. But you would have to do your own research and make your own decision before trying it. That's just common sense. The stuff is not terribly expensive and is not difficult to work with. My hands have even benefited just from rubbing it on my feet. I wear low-cut cotton tennis socks to keep my feet covered, and now I can go sometimes for three days between treatments. Again, I tried this stuff out of desperation. In a word, it has saved my sanity and greatly enhanced the quality of my life. I wouldn't be without it. -Al
