Guest guest
Dear , You are most welcome! Study Stacks should be made by the student him/herself for best retention and accuracy. Some of the work that students from various schools have done are in correct. For this reason I suggested a LOCK on the stacks. The owner did make such a lock. I suggest that you lock your stacks so that only you can change/edit them. Otherwise you risk others altering them. In additionif you plan to study another stack that someone else has made t hen you MUST check it for accuracy otherwise you run the risk of learning incorrect information: worse yet turning that into a medication error later. So SAVE LIVES and save time, lock your own stacks! Ms Mastron <jotess@...> wrote: This site is really cool. It's helping me so much on studying for my test. Thank you so much for providing it. Also thanks to Mrs. Barta for showing us some examples in class and how to sign on. It's a great way to study.
Guest guest
Which " stacks " would you recommend most? There are so many and I have no idea which ones to look at! Thanks for your help!
Guest guest
Dear mgb3456, NONE!!! I highly recommend that you MAKE your OWN study stacks! Why? 1. Because while you are doing it you are creating an experience! We all know we learn best by experience! 2. Because others before you who have made stacks may have made an error or two or three or four....! And you would continue to study and memorize errors or incorrect trade/generic pairs. Therefore you would contribute to medication errors and poor patient care. 3. YOU should be in control of YOUR study stacks yourself! Whoever makes the stack can and should put an electronic lock on them so that no one else can add or delete or otherwise 'contaminate' your stack and make errors. IF you choose to allow someone access you can. Everyone can use them but not everyone can change or edit them. ONLY the person who made them has complete control of them. 4. I myself have checked out a few of the stacks and found errors. Remember people 'like' yourself who are just learning are the ones making the stacks in 9 out of 10 cases. Many are made by students in pharm tech programs and others by those studying for ExCPT or PTCB exams. Heck I even have a former student who made a stack with the name of our school on it that has three errors! I am embarrassed. the student graduated over 4 years ago but the stack remains on the site WITH our old school name on it!Still with errors. The student has nto taken it down but did lock it and I can not get in there to change it. I recommend NOT using your school's (or pharmacy/work) name unless your teacher/boss tells you to. I hope this explains WHY I believe each person should make their own study stacks (or electronic flash cards and games). Hope this helps, Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Founder/Owner > > Which " stacks " would you recommend most? There are so many and I have > no idea which ones to look at!
