Guest guest
Hi All, My husband has been on 3.5mg LDN for 12 days and not doing so well. A lot of old symptoms returning and mobility getting worse. He was also on 1.5 and 2 mg before but things have got worse since 3.5. I know that it easy for me to say, but am trying to convince him to keep going as I understand that this may be a good sign!!?? Am I doing the right thing. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Yes that could be one of the hardest things you could do, but over and over again we hear about a return to pre ldn. symptoms, or a reocurrance of old symptoms in most people on about their second or third week! Now for any who are R.R. this could be scary, I can almost relate as when I got my ms symptoms back again in 96 I was scared but then I thought I can "cure" this now by using the same method as last timeWRONG there is no cure! Now it is up to you to be supportive as this will pass and may never return. You know we sure are real pansies, if I can be so crass as to say this, I have read where people that take novantrone or chemo or some of the injectables for their ms, have way worse symptoms and sure they complain but they still stay the course. What is wrong with us? At the first sign of some difficulty we run scared, So tell me what else should we do? put a warning out in big letters CAUTION FOR A BRIEF TIME WHILE USING LDN YOU WILL HAVE SOME RETURN OF OLD SYMPTOMS What if not every one gets them? I figure no pain no gain! Keep the faith. Guest guest
Hi Ali, I understand your delima..it's a tough place to be in...but I must say that before things got better, they got worse for me...and at times still do. I have been on LDN for almost five months, and it is as though I am revisiting past exacerbations....that seems to be my way back. Please have him give it a real chance before giving up. Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who replied to me. My husband thinks he will keep going rather than stop and perhaps have to go through this again if he decides to start again. Thanks again.
