Guest guest
Rapadura is found in many ethnic/Hispanic markets- usually cone or cylinder shaped. We used it in Honduras- grated as a substitute for brown sugar, liquefied- heat with a bit of water to make a syrup- as a substitue for molasses- as these products were not available where we lived. It is made from sugar cane *juice*. It is sugar. Take care. Barb ----- Original Message ----- From: @... Subject: Re: Chocolate too good to be true?? Lol...it contains "raw cane juice" and dehydrated cane juice....I have a huge peeve about this kind of labeling. There is a sugar product that is new and i think actually is cool. many raw foodists are using it instead of other raw sweeteners because it seems healthier- organic Rapadura Sugarhttp://www.rapunzel.com/products/rapunzel/rapunzel_baking_rapadura.htmlHas anyone used it? I have had it in some raw treats that were incredible.
