Guest guest
Hi Melisa! Welcome home! We share the loss of the bellybutton! LOL! I'm saving up to have a tatoo done where mine should be. Sounds like you're doing great! I didn't get a new scar on my stomach when they did my TT/HR. I guess they pulled the stomach high enough that they could do it all with the one opening. Anyway, I'm so glad you're home and doing so well! Hugs! Tracey > yes, I'm home! Surgery went well. Dr. K removed 7.8 ounces of skin and fat. > He didn't use steri strips, some stiches is all. Guest guest
Glad you are home and it sounds like you are doing well! LOL, I lost my belly button but at the end of my ds scar is a cute little dimple that looks just like one! I only got the hip to hip incision, and he was able to repair the hernia through that one so I didn't need another tummy scar! It sure is strange though when my belly button itches and it isn't there!!! Heal fast, stay well, and welcome to the " NBB " group! (no belley buttons!!! Cindee > yes, I'm home! Surgery went well. Guest guest
Sheila, Since I deal with a form of Muscular Dystropy, I understand fully well your need for extra care and recouperative time. I'm so glad the surgery is over and you are home where you can be more comfortable. I know how relieved you and your family must be that it is now behind you. Now you need to Rest, Rest, Rest as you have some very exciting days ahead of you with your activation. Sound is right around the corner. Congratulations !!!! Guest guest
Sheila, The worst of it is over now and I'm glad you came through with no real problems to deal with, but, yes, I know it will take you longer to recover than it does most. Rest a lot, stay as comfortable as you can and just let yourself be pampered if others are willing to do so. I'll bet Mentor missed you too and that you are glad to be reunited. Looking forward to news of your recovery progress and your activation as well. Wishing you a speedy recovery. I am doing really well so far and I ma just taking it slow. I have to make some appointments with my doctor here and let him know what is going on with me. My surgeon has been watching my blood work due to an enzyme that was really elevated. He wants me to have that checked up on by my normal doctor. Other than that all is going good. I can relax a little more at home so it is time to find my place on the couch....lol I hope eveyone is doing well and I will post any changes that come about with me. in Suffolk

Guest guest
There is no such thing. They only go by Income, unless the person has a Developmental Disability. If you can tell me what state you live in, I can provide you with additional resources regarding housing and which organziation assist with low income and low interest loans. Just because a person has a disability does not mean they get " special treatment " because everyone needs housing. Many people who have disability may have low income, and that is across the board with families and some individuals who are aging. Guest guest
well that is true but there are other ways.. I worked for Countrywide Mtg, and other major mtg companies for years before running away to keep a living. I was a broker, processor and underwriter. You may not get special help in a mtg but you may qualify for help from the state, city, county or groups in the area. There are many ways to fix your situation. Depending upon credit, how long you have been in loan, what type of loan etc... you can avoid the balloon all together maybe.... Let me state outright that I NO longer work in the Mortgage field and am not looking for a fee or want one. I can offer suggestions to look up only and should not be used as any form of " LEGAL or PROFESSIONAL ADVICE " . Each state differs so not all suggestions may lead to results. I would need to know more about the current situation. Re: Home There is no such thing. They only go by Income, unless the person has a Developmental Disability. Guest guest
, so happy to hear you are doing good from your surgery. Where did you have your surgery done? and who did the surgery? My son will be seeing Dr. Rice on Friday and we are hoping that he will do the esophagectomy on him. I pray that you will continue to improve. Guest guest
I had my surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. The surgeon is and he is top notch in my book. He was very good in the office and in hospital. He only does surgeries on the upper GI tract because it is a teaching hospital. He did the surgery with one of his parteners. So far I have been coming along ahead of schedule and I have been following his instruction to the letter. Thank you for your prayers and I will be praying for you all in Georgia Re: Home , so happy to hear you are doing good from your surgery.
