Query on Immune system research drugs on MS

Every time I go into a MS research information update, I constantly

see the words " Immune-modulating drug " . Is this the new wave in

research drug terminology? Are new drugs no longer " suppressing " but

now focus on 'Modulating'? or is it the same thing? If its not, and

the focus is on modulating - does that mean MS research is changing

their stand on how the immune system should be treated? If they are

interested in modulating - are they interested in boosting? LDN does

that, so are we that far from what the research companies are doing

by us using LDn?
