Good News: 4440 Italian Doctors Under Criminal Investigation

This follows a 2 years investigation over Glaxo Kline

pharmaceutical. There are a total of 4713 persons investigated of

which 4440 are doctors from all over Italy.

In detail, they have been denounced: 2,579 general medicine doctors

and 62 dependent of the Glaxo Kline; 1,738 specialist doctors

and 138 Glaxo dependent for concession or promise of prizes or money

advantages or in nature; 196 subjects for corruption between which 63

specialist doctors and druggists hospitals workers who in exchange

for money or assets or advising were ready to prescribe GSK products

only to their patients; 60 oncology hospitals worker (primary,

directors of clinical or complex units, aids) that in the within of

the so-called " Hycamtin plan " they would have received sums for every

dealt patient; 73 dependent GSK (administrators, managing, pictures

and dependent). These last ones have been denounced also for criminal

association.
