Guest guest
Hi everyone, Tomorrow marks my 4th week on LDN at 4.5mls. Apart from LDN, im also still taking statins (Lipitor) for my cholesterol, have halved my dose of anti-depressants (Paroxetine) and am still taking Lioresal to take the edge off spasms and tightness and it works as a bonus to LDN. On Saturday, I get the pathology report back on my blood test to see how my cholesterol is now after 3 months on Lipitor, (was 6.1mmol/l (target < 5.0) and for the first time in my life, I'm going to know my Uric Acid Levels in my blood. Thanks to the posts on Uric acid, I now am having it investigated. I'm also going to know my Blood Group which I have never known. Ok, I have nothing but good news to report on LDN. I will always stay at 4.5mg as it is working well for me. My legs feel lighter, I stand and transfer from chair to scooter/bed/bathseat/toilet/car with alot less effort now. I dress myself so easily, and no 'intent tremors' anymore. The last few days, I've been standing up alot longer and I feel very strong in my back. I sleep like a rock, no bladder problems, no restless leg syndrome and no snoring still since starting. I am not fatigued at all through the day, I am alert, and people at work cant stop me talking and buzzing around. I must stress, however, if i dont stand and keep moving my legs and stretching every hour, the tightness returns. But I dont get tired moving anymore, so i find myself doing this more often. Reaching to pick things up, balance and flexibility great. I can now drink coffee in the evening an not feel 'high' or racing heart beat. The strange thing is my personality change - due to the vitality, alertness etc, I find I am 'sticking up' for myself more, not putting up with peoples crap, not being a humble little being, getting quite feisty, and am more ascertive in conversation. I dont remember being like that even before I was diagnosed. I cant explain it, but its liberating. To sum it all up, I am a stronger person all round. Cheers dudes and dudettes Friday
