Guest guest
G'day Reg, When I went through the bussiness of being diagnosed 1n late' 95,they put me in hospitalfor a week to get a definitive diagnosis Quite a few diseaes can mimic MS on the MRI ,so apparently it alone does not definitively mean MS. But coupled with spinal taps to see if breakdown myelin is present in the spinal fluid plus certain antibodies ?apparently gives a definitive diagnosis.I also had cortical visual response tests (+CAT scans) which are the final nail in the coffin. I wasnt aware that huge advances had been made in the diagnosis of MS such that you could tell definitively off a few MRI's. Have I got it that wrong????????? Louise (OZ) PS I'd be extremely antsy if i was going to get a leg brace, I;tll either make life easier or you'llthrow it away in disgust!
