Guest guest
Aegis, before I commit and risk not holding up my end of the bargain, are you asking us to write our own letters for submission? TO post our experiences and they will be emailed to various entities? Please clear up, as, i know there is power in numbers, but ive been doing so much solo work in regards to notifying authority groups and media here, that I am pooped. Just give us an idea what is expected. then I can decide if I can take on another task Cheers and thanks for initiating this. friday > Dear LDNers: > I have set up a group > LDNers/ > > This group is not for discussion, but rather the intention is to > maintain a list of the voluteers who will simultaneously send an e- > mail to selected entities/persons in support of LDN for MS. Guest guest
Thanks Friday. The general experience is that individual attempts to write to a celebrity, or whoever have not given great results. When you write to a celebrity or other person, your e-mail is screened by some one. This usually means, they hit the DELETE key. If however, many letters come on the same topic, the screener will likely forward it to the boss. The letter will be worded by individuals themselves. Afterall, if all letters were the same, it would't carry much weight. I expect that the members would write 1 letter a month. Hope this will encourage you to join. > > Dear LDNers: > > I have set up a group > > LDNers/ > > > > This group is not for discussion, but rather the intention is to > > maintain a list of the voluteers who will simultaneously send an e- > > mail to selected entities/persons in support of LDN for MS. Guest guest
Aegis - Brilliant idea! I have joined, and stand ready to type away! I too have written many letters, and the the consolidated email launch sounds much more effective. > > I have set up a group > > LDNers/ > > > > This group is not for discussion, but rather the intention is to > > maintain a list of the voluteers who will simultaneously send an e- > > mail to selected entities/persons in support of LDN for MS. Guest guest
Thanks Sam, Aegis also plans to periodically post and discuss new MS and LDN related studies as a thank you and incentive to the group in the newsletter. Many times these will be discussed before they are available to the general public on PubMed. Also, for the time being membership is open to all, this may change later on. > Aegis - > Brilliant idea!
