Guest guest
When it comes to catnip, cats may or may not be predisposed to having a reaction to it. Only about 50% of all cats will have a reaction to catnip, so if your cat isn't reacting, he/she may be immune. Also, cats don't generally have any reaction to it if they're young --- under 7-8 months in age. that may be another factor. Vicky

Have you ever tried your cats with a drop of valerian eo on a toy, Marge? I know that you are quite well versed in essential oils and that you might have tried this. I know that my one cat (out of five) who is not enthralled by catnip goes absolutely bonkers over freshly dug valerian root. Totally tore a paper grocery bag full to shreds the first time she got into it. Found her blissfully sleeping the next morning, shamelessly drooling on the tattered remains of her rampage. <G> Just curious as to whether the eo would have the same effect for her as the fresh roots? Be well, be happy, Blessed be! luna

Guest guest
Hi Suzi, The oils should/might still be there. The catnip is bright and green. I bought it for my cats. Anyway, will try it and let the list know how it goes. Thank you, Baugh ****************** From: Suzanne <suziesgoats@...> Reply-health Date: Tue, 20 Jul 2004 17:34:24 -0700 (PDT) health Subject: Re: catnip I'm not sure dried will be as good as fresh... as you want the oils of it... but hey try a little bit and see... Guest guest
Is Catnip safe to use in a carrier oil for topical application? I wonder if it would work as well for common o garden british midges - they absolutely 'love' me - starter, main course and dessert - in fact I think I must be the midgey equivalent of a six course gourmet meal!! - and I get such a bad reaction from them too. ___________________________________________________________ Messenger - NEW crystal clear PC to PC calling worldwide with voicemail http://uk.messenger.
