Guest guest Posted June 2, 2004 Report Share Posted June 2, 2004 This vit D article posted on this site was good.( but it has been known about for a while now) But please don't run out and start taking megadoses of vit D above 1500 IU The science is infancy and vit D has an involved pathway . It has to be changed to a form that can be utilized by the body thus depends on the health of other organs etc etc etc. Like vit b12 depends on the workings of the 'intrinsic ' factor in the gut before it even gets a look in. And the intrinsic factor depends on your stomach acid working properly..... ITS ALL INTERDEPENDANT.. Often the health food industry pushes Megadoses of vitamins which is "Questionable" practice these days..." more is not necessarily better". louise (OZ) ..
