Guest guest
Hi all - I know you all have covered making LDN from Revia, a lot. And I understand the basics of how you all say to go about doing it but have some (probably stupid) questions. According to an article I found, 50mg ReVia is 16% Naltresone and 84% filler. If that is the case, how can 1, 50mg pill, crushed and put into 50ml of water make it a 1:1 ratio where if you take 4.5ml of water each night you are getting 4.5 mg of naltrexone? The same article that said the 16/84% figures, also said that 19mg of the powder contains 3mg of Naltrexone and 28mg of the powder containd 4.5 mg of Naltrexone. So . . .doesn't that mean that half of the 50mg pill (or 25mg) actually contains a little less than 4.5 mg of Naltrexone? I am so bad at math, and well, let's face it, kind of stupid about compounding drugs - I'm an artist, not pharmacisist. But I have been using a 3.0 script from Skips - only taking 4.5 a night, so will run out of meds early and have ordered Revia from MedsMex to fill in and need help here - I am confused. Any help (in simple terms) would be really appreciated. I will print your answers out for my 16 year old daughter to read and help me with. Thank God for great kids, and people like you all!!! Guest guest
I don't worry about all that. When you mix the finely crushed ReVia pill in water, you must shake it before each use. this way everything is pretty well mixed evenly. I know I take the same 3ml every night and I can taste if it's a bit stronger or not. But usually it tastes the same everynight. The important thing is taking it. the variables are so small is nothing to worry about. Anyway that's how I see it. how can 1, 50mg pill, crushed and > put into 50ml of water make it a 1:1 ratio where if you take 4.5ml > of water each night you are getting 4.5 mg of naltrexone? >
Guest guest
Aegis can help with the math. The Revia tab contains 50 mg naltrexone, (but it likely weighs more than 50 mg due to all the fillers). You should ignore the weights of the fillers. To get a dose of 4.5 mg, I would dissolve one tablet in 11 ml of water. Each 1 ml will contain approximately 4.5 mg, and will last you 11 days (11 x4.5= 49.5). Ofcourse, with this method you need the ability to measure 1 ml when taking the dose. You can also dissolve 50 mg in 100 ml, this will contain 0.5 mg/1 ml. To get 4.5 mg, you would have to drink 9 ml. In general drugs are less stable when diluted, so the 11 ml method is superior, IMHO. > Hi all - I know you all have covered making LDN from Revia, a lot. > And I understand the basics of how you all say to go about doing it > but have some (probably stupid) questions. > > According to an article I found, 50mg ReVia is 16% Naltresone and > 84% filler.
