Guest guest
If you back up and look at it maybe it's a bit funny... I am mildly lactose intolerant, yet I will occasionally have a quesadilla, how much cheese is that!! Or a cup of coffee with a lot of cream, LOL. For me such deviations cause a couple of days of mild bloating and flatulence. I doubt I'd even know if Skip's changed my filler to lactose. But I do TRY to avoid the dairy products, when my will power is working and my excuse making abilities are off duty, so it makes sense to avoid lactose wherever I can. And Skip seems to like using Avicel, so who am I to argue? I have seen a couple of posts about allergies to Avicel and wonder how that would express itself? For a lot of people lactose intolerance is a huge issue, not just a matter of a rumbling belly, so for them avoiding a lactose filler is far more important. I do work to avoid all the things that are " bad " for MS, then find myself indulging in something that is a virtual poison, like a caramel frappucino from Starbucks. Whipped cream? Oh yeah, how much can you balance on top??? The protein in milk is supposedly similar enough to myelin that it can trigger an immune response if it makes it through your gut and into your bloodstream intact. In light of the recent news that the whole myelin loss process may not be autoimmune in nature makes you wonder about the role of whole proteins. I'm so confused anymore... And I read something yesterday about the possibility of MS being the result of a lack of calcium and vitamin D during adolescent years... I was drinking huge amounts of milk as a teenager. I doubt I ever drank water. Milk was the beverage of choice in our house and we were encouraged by our mother to drink it freely and often. How much more calcium and D could I have ingested?? ----- Original Message ----- From: " Friday " <paraschick@...> <low dose naltrexone > Sent: Wednesday, June 02, 2004 5:59 AM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Lactose/Dairy intolerance? > Hi ppl, > > Been reading and posting a while now, and i cant believe how many of > you are lactose intolerant and focus on an alternative filler for > your LDN compounding.
