Guest guest
I would consider yourself lucky that LDN improved your vision. I've been on LDN for 5 months and though I've it help releive some symptoms, it hasn't helped my vision. I'd love to be able to read as fast as I once did but I don't think that that is going to happen until this disease is cured. Man I hope that happens soon because life with MS isn't very much fun. I had to watch my wife suffer through MS for 8 years before I was diagnosed. She has been in a nursing home for 7 years so I live alone, while the disease cripples me. Best Wishes, Chris I've been on liquid LDN (4.5mg) for a week now. I met with one of my neurologists yesterday and shared with him my instigation of LDN. I wanted to get his opinion/blessings. Although he couldn't really bless my use of LDN (he seemed to desire clinical trial successes first), he did opine that my perceived improved clarity of vision is likely not just a psycho-somatic effect because I wasn't expecting something like that to happen with the LDN. But it is happening since I started the LDN! I started noticing improved clarity of vision about 4-5 days after I started 4.5mg LDN nightly. I hadn't read that this is a usual benefit of LDN. Has anyone else got this benefit, or did I just get lucky? :-)
Guest guest
Leo, Hello:) There is a guy with MS taking LDN that works with me, and he reported improvement in his vision in one eye, he said he is not squinting to read anymore, and the clarity has improved. I will see him at work tomorrow, and ask how his vision is again compared to when we last spoke. Friday
Guest guest
I think you got lucky! I've been on LDN for 66 days now, and although my ON is slowly improving - I think it is more the " natural " progression of my ON, rather than a LDN thing. (My ON onset was in February of 04, so it's only been 4 months) The biggest issue for me, which I really was hoping LDN would help, but don't think it is, is the " Utholf " (sp?)thing. With ANY heat, or even the slightest activity, I quickly loose significant sight. I go from about 95% down to 75% or less in a matter of 3 or 4 minutes, and it can take from 10 - 90 minutes to recover, depending on how long I am hot, or continue to be physical. A real drag! You say you are using liquid LDN - I wonder if that may be having additional optical benefits. Any thoughts on that out there??? Guest guest
Dear I guess I am one of the lucky ones - about two weeks after starting LDN the cloudy spot on my right eye went away. I wish the best of luck for you too. Guest guest
Hi Tom, That's great that LDN helped your vision. I've only been on it for 4 months so I 'm hoping that at some point it will help mine. Guest guest
I have since learned that this was not O.N. but I thought it was So when my vision cleared up in two weeks as well I thought"Optic Neuritis is cured by LDN" but no it was just a dead spot in the lower part of my vision.Still it is good to be able to see full field again. Guest guest
I had only been on liquid LDN for 4-5 days when I noticed the improved clarity of my vision. It totally caught me by surprise as I wasn't expecting this benefit. I thought I was alone in this, but now I am reading others are also as fortunate! Great! What luck to have found LDN. I just hope it helps some of my other symptoms resolve as well! Leo from California > Hi Tom, > That's great that LDN helped your vision.
