Guest guest
LDNers: Within the last few months, we have made substantial progress in our goals. Two trials, one in Italy and one at UT SW are being seriously discussed. Sam W has done a great job of the compilation of the LDN data. However, we need to open a new front in our fight for LDN trials and acceptance by mainstream neuros. This involves visibility in the media (tv/print/radio). Unfortunately, I have a demanding full time job and I can only spare so many hours, similarly, now that Sam W is recovering fast, she is anxious to get back to work. So we (I and Sam) are looking for a third person who would be willing to volunteer. At present I focus more on contacting the physicians and researchers, while Sam does more of the public advocacy as well as maintainance of her web site and the design and compilation of the survey. I would be willing to help the volunteer, in terms of planning strategy as well as general guidance and advice when dealing with the media. So if you know of someone or are yourself interested with the below listed skill set, pl. contact me. - Be motivated and have good inter personal skills - Must have computer access and some ability to feret out info from the web - Moderate Ability to write - Should not be financially strapped for cash!. The work would likely involve making some copies, or phone calls, and if someone is lucky, even occasional travel. - A few hours a day is all that is required - The person would essentially do some web or library based research to identify contacts. Once the contacts are identified we can all write to them. - An interest in journalism would be great. So pl. let me know, if someone is interested. Also consider being a member of LDNers, if you like to help the cause. Thanks, Aegis LDNers/ Subscribe: LDNers-subscribe
