Guest guest
Dear All, The state of California is trying to determine for itself, even though a court of law has deemed they are equivalent and either can lead to the CPhT desigated title by passing it, if the PTCE and the ExCPT exams are indeed equivalent. If so then CA will allow the use of either ExCPT or PTCB exam to acquire a pharm tech registration. It has been argued that they would be better off spending the money on legislation making it a requirement to attend/graduate from an accredited pharm tech program before taking the certification exam. News or results are expected in early summer 2011. Hope this helps someone, Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Founder/Owner • Psychometric evaluation for the ExCPT and PTCB Examinations - The board reported that the psychometric evaluation of both the ExCPT and PTCB is underway. The evaluation should be completed in June 2011.
