I have been a tech for almost 9 years; hospital, and instructional. I am in NC,

hence coordinating the '08 Convention for AAPT in Raleigh. I am not really

familiar with ASHP and the different chapters. It's hard belonging to more than

1 or 2 professional organizations. Thanks for clarifying the acronyms. I have

seen a bunch of different ones on these different groups and were not aware of

their meanings.

I once belonged to SCAPT it was the Southern California Chapter of

AAPT! Sadly it no longer exists.

Ginger what state are you in? How longed have you teched? Retail?

Hospital? MgdC? MO? LTC?

Ginger!

Glad to know that you belong to more than one group!

Please feel free to keep us updated on the convention any time.

I have slated my time off, my TA says he will work for me that Thursday and

Friday! Now only if my mother's health holds up!

Will keep you posted! :)

Thanks Jeanetta

That would be great for you guys to make it to convention. I would love to meet

you both. I hope to make some more contacts on these . If either

of you have ideas for advertising please feel free to let me know. Coordinating

this event is a tad overwhelming but I know it will be a success. Thanks again,

IF Karin and /or I go we will have a DOT party for sure!

IF you can hook us up with someone who lives in the area who is not burdened as

you are that will help us. The first DOT party was in HOustondo

DOT party is for those who meet on the net then meet at a convention for the

first or subsequent times. They invite ALL people from the convention and

promote networking in between conventions online at the tech sites and have

flyers ready with the site information, site addresses etc. Mean while they also

promote theh convention on the sties they are on.

I think if you post the info her and ask others to promote the convention on

any sites that they visit you will be very pleased that others will help you.

Love ya

Stay in touch and keep us posted!
