Nice to see you Zoey. Hope somebody has experience with TED. By the

way, excerpts from your PR tips and Cavuto's book tour have been

posted on

Zoey - I am on LDN and was diagnosed with Graves disease about 20 years ago. I take synthroid and had a radiation iodine treatment back then. Dr. B said very few people have two autoimmune diseases. Glad to know I'm not alone. I take 4.5 LDN. I'm starting to think that your thyroid has something to do with getting MS. How about you? Good luck. Kim, Pennsylvania

Zoey

I have autoimmune thyroid deisease, diagnosed in 2000 ,causing low

thyroid levels.

I have just started on LDN for my MS so it will be interesting to see

if it has any effect on my Thyroid problems

To Zoe and ,

I wish you both the best of results with LDN and your conditions.

It's great to read about other conditions LDN may help apart from MS.

Please keep us up to date with any results.

Regards

Friday

Hi Kim,

Thanks for responding. Fortunately my thyroid is fine. I ask mostly

for people I know with Autoimmune thyroid problems (Graves and

hashimotos) and also TED - thyroid eye disease. From everything I've

read, LDN would seem like a natural next step for people with thyroid

difficulties yet, as far as I know, it is not being discussed within

the various thyroid communities.

It has been my understanding that some people with one auto-immune

disease may be more likely than others to eventually get another

autoimmune disease. I've heard of many people having Graves with

Sjogens, RA, or Lupus. It is also my impression that when people are

diagnosed with graves disease confirmed by high levels of TSI

antibodies (TPO and other antibodies might be involved, as well), the

problems is with the antibodies attacking the thyroid gland and not

with the thyroid gland itself. Removing the thyroid gland through

RAI ablation does not get rid of the antibodies which can then often

migrate to other areas and organs of the body.

With warm regards and best of luck, zoey

Hi ,

I'll be very interested to learn how LDN works for you and whether it

effects changes in you FT4 and FT3 levels. Have you had any thyroid

antibody tests? If positive changes were to occur in those numbers,

it could be very promising for LDN. IMHO. Keep me posted, zoey

LORI - SAME BOAT, I HAD RADIATION AND ENDED UP WITH HYPOTHYROIDISM. I TOO TAKE SYNTHROID AND HAVE TAKEN LDN FOR ABOUT 7 WEEKS. NOTHING MAGNIFICENT HAS HAPPENED EXCEPT FOR THE BLADDER CONTROL IS MUCH BETTER. KIM
