Guest guest
Hi , I did notice that on a few days post LDN, I was sweating a lot! I did not think it a wonderful thing, however. I thought of it as more of a slight annoyance. I actually thought it was just another " MS thing " . Leo from California > Has anyone notice they perspire more easily? Guest guest
Hey Leo, I'm in the Central Valley of California, south of Fresno. Summer is hot, perspiring is very useful. I'm not enjoying the middle of the night sweating though. I'm wondering if not sweating adequately is another unrecognized MS thing, like the low levels of uric acid we are now aware of. , another Californian ----- Original Message ----- From: leosab@... low dose naltrexone Sent: Saturday, June 19, 2004 9:07 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN and perspiration??? Guest guest
Yes , absolutely - since taking LDN, when i exert myself, getting in and out of the car, I feel like i've done a work out and my face is perspiring. I never worked up a perspiration doing anything before LDN. Its a normal feeling again. Friday > Has anyone notice they perspire more easily? Prior to LDN I did not perspire well, even when it was appropriate.
Guest guest
Hi julie! I left Texas after becoming a limp rag when I opened a door and couldn't afford air conditioning. I came to the Pacific NW where there is neither Winter nor Summer! I found something called a " Deodorant Stone " at The Herb Store for about $5. Bathe and dry. Wet the transluscent stone and rub it on areas for deodorant. It prevents growth of odor-causing bacteria. I store in votive candle holder where it dries. Too bad the French didn't have it. Beats perfume and aluminum deodorants. Shirley in Oregon --- <jatrac1@...> wrote: > Hey Leo, I'm in the Central Valley of California, > south of Fresno. Summer is hot, perspiring is very > useful. Guest guest
Shirley - I found the deodorant stone in a roll-on at the health food store. It's called Crystal roll-on body deodorant. It's just a little easier than the stone. Arlene Michigan USA
Guest guest
I have noticed (since I drink more water too) that yes I sweat more and my deodorant, same type for twenty plus years, wears out by noon! OK, we've talked about faster growing hair and finger/toenails, we've talked about hair becoming less gray and more your youthful colors. We've had a couple of mostly off line chats about changes in bowel habits. I have a new one: Has anyone notice they perspire more easily? Prior to LDN I did not perspire well, even when it was appropriate. I noticed today that I can now perspire, or actually sweat as it were, in a manner far more like I did years ago. I spent time with my horse this morning, and then again this afternoon, out in the heat. Both times my forehead was a veritable spring of perspiration, and then again this evening when I was pulling weeds in the backyard. (Obviously I have been blessed with an unusual amount of energy today, I hope that trend continues...) At no time was I miserably hot, or weakened by the heat, but I was doing a great job of perspiring. Anyone else out there notice something similar? ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here

To the embarrassing point. I am considering Botox injections into my scalp and around my hairline to see if it will help stop the profuse sweating. My dad does the same as I do. My hair gets wet from the inside out and drips sweat just from my vacuuming the floor, making the bed, anything I do triggers it. If you don't sweat much, consider yourself lucky. Guest guest
I don't think the sweating itself is the issue. What I'm wondering is if my body's ability to regulate temperature is improving... the issue is the change, not the dripping. ----- Original Message ----- From: Bren low dose naltrexone Sent: Monday, June 21, 2004 3:08 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN and perspiration??? Guest guest
I have noticed that when it is hot that my body tempature runs about 97.6ºF, heat does not affect my strength or overly fatigue me. If LDN helps this to be so, then hurah!
Guest guest
Since sweating is a way for the body to rid itself of toxins, I would think that this could be a good thing! I have noticed that I sweat now, but I hadn't thought about it too much until this topic came up. If the humidity gets up during the night, which it does here in West Texas, I have to turn on the ceiling fan. I have woken up with a sweaty scalp and neck several times and had to do away with the covers! Marcie (PPMS)
