Guest guest
Dear Geetha Sivakumar CPhT, CONGRATULATIONS Geetha Sivakumar CPhT!!!!! I am so very PLEASED to know that you passed the PTCB exam and are not a certified pharmacy technician! Also glad to hear that you benefited from my tutorials. I appreciate your displayed appreciation of this/my site. Please keep me/us informed of your career path and what you will now be doing. Can you tell us a bit of your background and how long it took you to study for this exam? Scores vary depending upon one's background, experience and education. Your input will help others to learn what they may expect for themselves. For example if someone has lots of biology and math background with good academic grades, they may do exceptionally well on math portion of the exam and if they found pharmacology interesting and easy because of their biology background they may find it easy on the exam. But without on the job experience of working with drugs, one will not find the pharmacology questions particularly easy. However this person can easily get 750 to 850 points with his or her educational background. Some one who doe not have biology or anatomy and physiology can also get the same score by simply studying the body systems (from scratch) AND pharmacology. The person above probably only needed a refresher in the body systems. More than likely I have found this person to get between 750 and 800 but higher is not unheard of. Average test scores reported on this site or to me in private range from 650 to 870 with a couple of 900, with the average range between 700 and 740. I do not know how that compares to theactual PTCB scores from the nation. Not sure where I would get that information. Would love to hear from you and others as to your background, length of time you studied and your scores to see if there is any correlation. Great news Geetha!
