Guest guest
Don't do this! Most spam messages have garbage return addresses. Clicking on the " Opt Out " link only lets the spammers know that they have reached a valid email address. Your problem will get much worse if you keep doing this. Guest guest
Rob from Canada, Maybe they think we might just only want to date people with the same disease??? I'm with you, got enough spam and spend most of my time deleting. Of course can switch to the "plan with the filter" for another $25 a month, but my delete finger isn't worn out yet so still sticking with the old $10 a month fee. I have watching these people on the asthma groups and decided that is not a place I want to be and need to get back to the Samter's group. Wish more doctors were aware of this disease. My regular D.O. told me he wanted me to see a second allergist to confirm the Samter's and if this one says the same, which I am sure he will get off my back about getting polyps removed again. I am kind of interested in second opinion too so I guess I won't ask him to pay the fee. from Alaska ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
Guest guest
Hi all I have not received any spam either. I am not sure how spammers aquired some peoples Adresses and not others. Usually if an e-mai list has been sold or stolen it would include all of us. So maybe the spamming is unrelated to this forum and is related to some other sight. It could be that those folks getting spammed visited a sight recommended by another member of this group and had their e-mail address captured. I very seldom go to other websites recommended, due to lack of time. Mostly,I enjoy reading what you all have to say. Regards Marcus
Guest guest
I believe the reference to spam was with respect to some trash placed in the files area, specifically Click here for a great dating service and Click here to learn more about the power of GHR! Guest guest
Yes, I was referring to the files area. Sorry if I caused any confusion. I just know that if we allow files, like the ones Karl pointed out, that soon we will be seeing files being downloaded in the files area about porn, then the posts will follow. I've seen it happen before and the group was abandonned because of this. I think our group does too much good, by allowing us to share information about our condition, to see things like this happen to us. I felt a great comfort finding out that there were other people out there who shared my condition and I don't want this to be lost for others that come along. Once again, sorry about the confustion. Guest guest
, as I understand it, as owner, you are omnipotent in this group. Guest guest
What I got was a Samter's message that said connect here for dating service. My sister was using my computer to look at personals on the computer. Maybe the people doing that got the spam about the dating service and others who didn't go to personals didn't get the e-mail. Guest guest
I'm getting sick of this SPAM and it looks like the moderators who started this group don't monitor the group to stop it by banning the spammers. I am more then willing to start a new group called " Lexapro List " or what ever is a good name and be joint moderator with some one else. Maybe Sue Chapman as she is a regular poster.. Then we could regulate the content of the list. Lexapro is to good of a drug not to have a good dicussion of it use. I have started a group for " Lamictal " and its easy and works well. Opinions Please, Bob PS: We could then send invitations to all the members of this list join the new list.

If no one else steps forward, I'd be happy to be a co-moderator. I have a group on FlashWriting which I've been able to keep it almost SPAM-free for several years simply by requiring moderator approval for each member (I give it automatically to anyone that seems legit.) Only one entity snuck on and was bounced permanently within hours of the post. If it would be considered a barrier to people signing up to require moderator approval, another possiblity I've heard about from another group moderator is to allow people to join freely, but require the member's first post be reviewed by the moderator. If that's fine, then the member is allowed to post freely after that point. I know that's kept the amount of SPAM way down on that list as well. Need your document professionally edited? As EditAvenue's " LegalPro " , I'd be happy to help: http://www.editavenue.com/article.asp?userid=4924.
