Guest guest
Hi I have been on 3.0 for 3 months or so and find I sleep really well , I have recently started trying to up my dosage to 4.0 in the hope of trying to get to 4.5 to see if it helps anymore. I find that I have great problems getting to sleep when I up it to 4.0 , my question is , is this typical and does the body take a while to get used to the increased dosage ? many thanks
Guest guest
Yes, I am having the same problems. Was on 1.5mgs for a month and now I up to 2.5mgs having problems sleeping. Hopefully it's just a problem adjusting. I'am also having big time problems with muscle tightness and cramping. Guest guest
Yes in my case, any time I made an adjustment either up or down my sleep patterns were disturbed for a week or more. Guest guest
I may be wrong and I am lots of times but it seems to me that pretty much anyone that is starting ldn, or changing the dose amount, will experience a disturbance in their sleep, and probably their results,(which could be tied into sleep somehow that's not too much of a reach),and this relates back to how people observe us users of ldn. What a wishy washy bunch using a wilo-the wisp type drug! May I make a recommendation based on my observations? Well of course I can, and you can accept this or disregard this as the case may be as who am I anyway? My recommendation is this : when starting ldn.try to get on a fairly large amount,a large amount being more than 2.5 that is don,t start real low and then work your way up in an effort to get around the sleeplessness as you may never encounter it anyway but you may if you keep changing your amount! I know I did until I just stayed at the one dose, now a bomb has to go off to wake me. It seems that very very few that start at 1.5 mg.s stay there for life as this amount does very little for many people. The ones who start at 3.0mgs. sometimes go up to 4.5mgs. but then cut back to three as it works best, Seldom can you get results from 1.5mg.s and you do not hear of many, if any, people that have a "reaction" to ldn. so starting at 1.5 to find out if this is a "safe for you" treatment is hardly necessary. Yes we are all different and have to find our own comfort level with this drug but it seems to me that those of us that used to drink and smoke to excess were killing ourselves faster in those days, and we never complained at all.Now we are improving our life ( my gray hair is gone,no diapers, very little falling down now )and can we bitch about a little lost sleep.Did you know that following the Atkins diet long term can affect your liver more than taking 4.5mg.s of ldn long term? Muscle tightness and cramping oh yes these muscles were meant to be used and unless we get them back into shape they will continue to remind us by being stiff and sore. A few simple stretch and range of motion exercises will alleviate these almost instantly. Now I said alleviate not completely dispell! I saw my Nuerologist yesterday and he refused to acknowledge the fact that I was doing good on ldn.he only wants to see a double blind study done on it as then he can comment. He was disappointed that the drugs he had prescribed for fatigue and bladder problems (Circ and Amantadine)were never any help, but he wasn't elated either that the ldn. had improved this tremendously. Said enuf fer now Reg. -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: 06/23/04 13:44:33 low dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] 3.0 -> 4.5 Yes, I am having the same problems. Guest guest
I think that until people stop suing over a hangnail getting infected or something slightly worse. and until these large unreal payouts stop the Nueros will be running scared. I am from Canada and for a while there we lost a lot of our Dr.s to the States as they pay better and in U.S. currency too. Now I see most have come back to stay, when asked they say the reason they came back was to get away from the ambulance chasers and the cost of malpractice insurance was cutting into their paychecks bigtime. Face it people we did it to our selves! -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: 06/24/04 18:39:23 low dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] 3.0 -> 4.5 Good advice, sound viewpoint, Reg.
