Guest guest
I don't mind lol. If i were getting paid a lot maybe i'd keep it private. 11 bucks in Los Angeles Area at Rite Aid,started 5 month ago. We have a certain pay schedule and the techs get raise every 520 hours of work until the reach a max salary which is 15-16 bucks. The pharm manager obviously cares abt amt of salary handed out and at times we are very short handed and over time is almost unheard of. > > I am curious about what a pharmacy tech in retail gets paid. I was hoping that maybe I could get some response here. I know not everyone will want it posted on the internet what they get paid, but maybe you can email me directly, ebeth1118@... if you dont mind. Let me know how much your starting hourly pay is/was when you started. What state you are in. Which pharmacy chain you work for. If you had experience when you started. etc... I was hoping to call local pharmacies to inquire, but not sure how to approach this with them. > > Thanks! > > > ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ > Be a better friend, newshound, and > know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
When I left teching in l995 to teach I made $10.78 pr hour in California. My first teaching job I jumped from that to 12 per hour. Sadly my current hourly wage is not as high/good as it should be. I am not able to post it. But suffice it to say that some of my students who have been teching for 2 - 5 yrs are catching up! So much depends upon what state and what area with in that state, due to cost of living and how pharmacy technicians are viewed in that state. Guest guest
we have a union. and the union contract is the document that spells out your wages, your benefits, scheduling, nad anything else worked out between the union (representing the employees) and the employer. if you work at a place that has a union you will either get a copy of the document, or instructions on how to view it online, or both. --- Beth <ebeth1118@...> wrote: Union contract? Guest guest
i may be a day late and dollar short on this subject, but, i worked at rite-aid in Maine for 4 years starting at 6.25 as a front end cashier, i moved to the pharmacy (its great when people get fired for stealing), from 6.25 i got a raise because min wage wen up to 6.50 3 years later when i left rite-aid i was making 10.71 i now work at the local hospital, for 12.6 and just got an advancement raise because i am now moved to out pt medical oncology infusion center. So retail (esp my exp with rite aid) was terrible, i swindled lots of raises from them but the girl i worked with (15-20 vets) were only making 50 cents to a dollar more then me....If you enjoy teching start in retail, it gives you lots of learning about how bad it really is when you move on to something better, just my experience hope it helps. --Tim CPhT -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
