Guest guest
While researching the cord/blood stem cell idea I tracked down a Dr. Reagan who had had it done twice for his MS. I called him and he inturn called me and I was shocked at what he told me. He is in a wheelchair, could barely speak and thought he had MS for 25 years. The stem cells did nothing for him . Turns out he has Lymes disease! His test for Lymes that came out positive could only be done at a certain lab in Florida with 100% accuracy. He has put all the info on a site. I also met a man a week later who said he was told he had MS . His test came out neg 2X for Lymes because he was on an antibiotic for an eye infection and that masked the results. He has Lymes also. Thought this info may be of some use to anyone who is not responding to LDN and has never thought of Lymes disease.Check out his web site for more info, also a phone # is listed. http://www.drjames.web.com/

Guest guest
Funny this should come up. I have just tested positive for Lyme Disease and started therapy today. I had my test done at the same lab in Florida that is mentioned. I have been on the Prima Una de Gato cat's claw for a little over a week. And I am increasing the dosage very slowly since cat's claw can cause bad reactions if too much is taken too quickly. Even this takes a few months to start working. My doctor has added an antibiotic, a heavy metals chelator and acidolphilis to make sure my gut flora doesn't get too messed up from the antibiotic. I have been on ldn since April 5 and my improvements have been minimal. I do credit it with some minor improvements. My sleeping is very deep and I get up twice a night, but that is a lot less than before ldn. From all I've been reading, lyme can be very difficult to treat and treatment with antibioticcs can last for a year or more. So we shall see what happens with this antibiotic if anything. It is not minocycline, it's doxycycline. Just thought I would add this post b/c of its revellance to the topic. Arlene Michigan USA
Guest guest
Hi, I have a question. Is lyme disease specific to North and South America or are there any cases that are encountered over Europe? Do you have any idea? Thanks. Ergin > While researching the cord/blood stem cell idea I tracked down a Dr. > Reagan who had had it done twice for his MS. Guest guest
From what I just read you had better hope you got M.S. instead of lymes disease. They are saying it may not go away with drugs but comeback years later! I know that our cooler climate is not conducive to the lyme tick my veterinary friend says he hasn't seen a single case up here in all of his thirty years of practice. Guest guest
The only place with a low incidence for Lyme seems to be the state of Montana....go figure. Guest guest
We'd probably better open a 'I thought I had MS until I found out I had Lyme' group.... I'm here to find out if LDN will help with my symptoms. I did not find Cat's Claw to be helpful. A homeopathic remedy worked wonders, but all my symptoms came back with 10 days. I'm now on IV antibiotics and hyperbaric chamber therapy. ----- Original Message ----- From: arlizotte@... low dose naltrexone Sent: Tuesday, July 13, 2004 3:25 PM Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Lymes check Funny this should come up. Guest guest
It is everywhere--the strains in Europe are also quite virulent. There are maps on the internet following the progression of the disease. ----- Original Message ----- From: Alidewar37@... low dose naltrexone Sent: Tuesday, July 13, 2004 3:01 PM Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Lymes check I too wondered where Lyme was prevelant, as Mark cycled in Kenya 6 months before his first symptom!!! Guest guest
Are any of you "Lymees" taking Sarsaparilla? It is effective against spirochetes, and in fact was used as a treatment for syphilis before antibiotics were available. I wonder if it is helpful against Lyme... Guest guest
The Cat's Claw my dr recommended is TOA free. Something about the TOA's in the product working against the POA's. Most cat's contains the TOA's and therefore and is not effective. Arlene Michigan USA

Guest guest
Sarsaparilla is an herbal remedy. Like many herbal remedies being rediscovered, it has been in use for a very long time. A web search should bring you a lot more info than you really want... ----- Original Message ----- From: Miriam Edelweiss low dose naltrexone Sent: Wednesday, July 14, 2004 8:53 AM Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Lymes check Is that as a homeopathic remedy or some other form? Guest guest
What's the name of the lab you were tested at. How much does the test cost? Can you have your Dr. mail the blood to them for testing or do you have to go there to get it done? Thanks Marjorie. > Funny this should come up.
