Guest guest
I was curious about LDN and stiffness and ALAN wrote below that his wife does not experience stiffness when taking LDN as a cancer preventative. Is it only in MS that ldn causes added stiffness or in other illness and diseases? Anyone not with MS have stiffness? Guest guest
Hi Friday, I've been noticing the last while too that it seems it's us MSer's who are suffering most with the stiffness. I have MS myself but never got the stiffness though. I know many others who don't get the stiffness either. From what I've observed, it's seems to be those who's MS is more advanced, that suffer more with the stiffness. Also though, I wonder if Nutritional deficiencies are involved. I take 800mg of calcium and magnesium daily as advised by the Best Bet Diet and it really helps prevent any cramps or leg pains...which I used get before the BBD. I wonder if those who are stiff with LDN, were they stiff already before LDN, and it's just got worse with LDN, and also have they ever got their calaium and magnesium levels checked. One thing Dr. Lawrecne does befoer giving patients LDN, is he asks them what their diet is like and what supplements they alrad take. He gives them information on the supplements people with MS should take. It may not work for evryone, but I'm in contact with many people who are patients of Dr. Lawrences and I know very few who are after getting stiffer. God knows tough, hopefully when we get trials done all these things can be analysed. . Rep. Guest guest
> Hi all, > > Can someone describe what " stiffness " is like when taking LDN? > > Ciao > Elio ======= The stiffess I had on LDN lasted about 2 1/2 months and was in the calves of my legs. I had trouble getting my heels to the floor of which I've had a problem with since the day I started trying to walk...the LDN increased that problem for a good while. I was doing pool therapy at the time so was able to stretch out those tendons and ligaments in the water while standing on the bottom step of the handicapped ladder in the pool. That extra stiffness disappeared and I'm left with just my original stiffness I had before LDN. The extra stiffness was sort of painful when I'd try to stand up but once I was up the stiffness would fade until I sat down for a lengthy period and then I'd draw back up. I read where it took 6 months for the stiffness to subside in someone else. It took nearly 3 months and alot of stretching in the pool for the stiffness to subside in my legs. Probably if I hadn't been doing pool therapy it would have lasted longer.
