It is a foreign concept for most people to consider taking that much, but the health benefits have been well-studied. I take 6,000 per day (sustained release) in divided doses, and 2,000 of magnesium/calcium/zinc. But, I want to share about my recent experience with LDN. I have been taking LDN for over 2 months now. I am at 4.5 mg and over a week ago, I began taking a new prescription with magnesium filler. Since I began this prescription, I have had the most energy in the day and the best rest and night since beginning LDN. It makes sense because magnesium acts to relax muscles. I've hit on a really good combination for me. I am now walking at least two miles per day and beginning to feel human again. Now I am concerned about recent conflicting posts about whether or not to take a few days off from LDN. I feel so good that I don't want to take any chances on losing this state of recovery!! I'll be so glad when we have studies to back up our experiences, and individualize our dosing. Lara, best wishes to you with your testing. Hang in there, you are almost there!
