Dear ALL,

If you are a pharm tech student who has never worked as a pharm tech then this

post is not for you.

IF you are a registered, certified, practicing technician, OR currently

unemployed pharmacy technician then this announcement is for YOU!

Let's make this very clear: you do not have to be a registered tech, you do not

have to be a certified tech, but you either have to be a practicing/employed

tech or an out of work tech.

Various Pharmacy Technician Associations have been asked to help NIOSH the

National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health

(NIOSH) collect data on pharm tech issues regarding the safety of their job.

They sent emails out to all members.

Unfortunately the reply or response has been low/poor overall.

This is the second notice that I got from AAPT. I also got a notice from NPTA.

At this point it does not matter what organizaton you belong to s much as NIOSH

gets information that can be analyzed to find out what the REAL picture is for

pharmacy technicans, as far as safety and health is concerned. A report would be

forthcoming.

This is the second email and I post it with permission of the AAPT President to

help get the word out that we NEED your input.

" Don't wait, complete the survey today!
